INVITATION

Alarick sat at his desk in his office with a small stubble on his face. The sun began to set causing the warm rays of the retreating sun to pepper the room like light passing through a prism. He sighed and dropped the file he was looking at on the desk with a thud. He put his head in his hands and rubbed his eyes in frustration. Being at the office for days on end was taking a toll on him and his body knew that. It was close to shutting down but his mind was stronger. He had to get through this ordeal. After that, he could rest all he wanted.
