Grace spent a lot of time with Alarick and his father Cillian at their mansion. Days turned to weeks and weeks to months. Over all this time Grace and Alarick grew very close, like they were siblings, especially after all the time they spent hanging out when one or the other wasn't working . She was family to them now and was later integrated into everything that they did. She accepted a job at the company as a tech advisor since she was a genius at anything technological. At this point in their lives everything was going well but all that was about to change. One night while Alarick and Cillian were at home, men wearing all black, carrying guns and duffel bags trespassed on the mansion grounds. The alarms had not gone off so no one in the house was alerted. The guards outside that were meant to keep watch were rendered unconscious so the intruders had no problem getting in the house. Cillian was in his study with Jonathan, his butler and trusted friend, going through some files and
It was the day after the home invasion. That day was serene and calm for most people but not for the King family. Grace opened the doors of the police station and rushed into the building in a frenzy. She searched around the room but couldn't find the men she was looking for. An officer saw her mildly panicking and walked up to her. "Is there a problem, ma'am?" The officer asked.Grace turned to him and replied."Yes. My name is Grace King. I'm looking for Cillian and Alarick King. I'm related to them.""Miss Grace, we were told you may stop by. Come with me, I'll take you to them."She had been on a business trip for the company for a week and just returned that day from a different country to hear that the house had been robbed. The officer started to lead her to a room at the end of a hallway. He opened the door for her and she stepped in. Grace saw Alarick and Cillian in the room and rushed over to them.“Alarick, Uncle. Are both of you okay?”Grace hugged Alarick first and then
A week passed and still there was no new information from the police department about the main perpetrators of the break in. The men that attacked the house were just hired for the job, the main enemy was still unknown. And they still didn’t have any information on how they bypassed a state of the art security system. Cillian and Alarick had been to the station multiple times but according to the officers, the culprits wouldn’t reveal anything. There was also something weird. Their names and faces didn’t show up on any facial recognition software the police had. No birth certificate, parents, not even a blood work. The names they gave were fakes and couldn't be linked to anyone else. They basically didn’t exist in the eyes of the country. Someone must have wiped their records, but how?Nothing came up. The men could not be tried since their identity was still an issue but they were kept behind bars for the time being as they were caught red handed by the police committing the crime.
The burial of Jonathan was surreal to some but at least he was now resting in peace. At the end of the day, the people that had come to mourn him had all gone back to their respective homes. Everyone including Grace and Charlotte. Grace had a contract business to attend to so after the burial she left to return after a few days.It was only two days after the burial but Cillian had gone into a mild depression. Not coming out of his room, not eating or even speaking to anyone including his son. It was unlike him. He had been stronger when the case was still fresh but after the news of not being able to convict the culprits for Jonathan's death, he went on a downward spiral. Alarick could tell that his father was in a fragile state after losing someone that close to him, now he just needed to find a way to put Jonathan's killers behind bars. That would probably help his father heal.Alarick was on the patio thinking about how he could handle the situation when his phone rang. It was on
It was the next day and the courtroom was already filled up. The room wasn't as filled when the Micah scandal came out but there was still a substantial amount of people. To some, the news of common criminals infiltrating the well protected mansion of Cillian King was too much to give up. How did they do it? How long was this planned for? Were they mad? These were some of the questions on everyone's mind in the courtroom. Cillian and Alarick were already seated on the prosecution's side of the room when the doors near the bench opened up to reveal the judge. The bailiff's voice echoed. "All rise!" The murmurs in the court ceased and everyone stood up in respect for the judge. Once he sat down, he gestured to everyone else to have their seats and they did. The judge pulled the file in front of him and read aloud from it. The case of King versus Dylan McCaffrey He continued. "Please bring in the defendant." The side door of the courtroom was opened and Dylan was pulled into th
The trials for the other intruders were held consecutively for two days. They weren't given life sentences because they didn't kill anyone directly but every single one of them were found guilty of every charge. The men including Dylan who had been in a holding cell at the police station for the past two days, were being sent to a supermax prison two hours away, out by the nearest wasteland, to serve out they're sentences. The seven men in total had their chains connected to their wrist and feet. They walked in a straight line towards the two transfer vans used to carry convicted criminals to prison. Seven guards apart from the two drivers of the van watched them closely. Dylan was pulled out of the line and shoved towards one of the vans. "Get in!" Dylan grunted in irritation but obeyed the officer. "No need to get all handsy now." Dylan stepped into the van and watched as his men were being separated and put into different vehicles. Once the officers were done, Dylan counted
Alarick sat at the head of the table in the conference room with the rest of the company board. He was there in place of his father, Cillian. who had chosen to take a hiatus from work to properly mourn and come to terms with what had happened. Alarick was now able to work since the Jonathan case had been solved and the criminals put behind bars.Since he had been away from work for some time, Alarick had decided to hold the meeting to catch up and also solve any problems that might have come up since he went on a sort of break."So where are we with our recent projections?" Alarick asked.A blonde woman in a tight pants suit spoke up. She eyed Alarick from across the room with hungry eyes. "We have excellent projections, sir. Only in this month alone, our profits have gone up by 5 percent. It seems like your family drama is getting the company some much needed attention."Alarick could feel her eyes on him. Apart from business talk there was something that her eyes held. She spoke ab
Alarick rushed over to the mansion hoping that his father wouldn't ask him too many questions and just follow him. He still wasn't sure how he was going to convince Cillian to leave the mansion but he was going to try. The estate was not secure until they discovered how the culprits had gained access to the house in the first attack despite the sophisticated security software they had.In no time Alarick had reached the house. He barely shut the door to his car as he rushed inside the building. He sprinted over to Cillian's study. Cillian wasn't there. Alarick checked his father's room and the dining area but Cillian was nowhere to be found. Alarick knew that there were only three more places he could check. The living room and the grave of Jonathan or his mother. He decided to check the living room first before he would go out to check on the mansion grounds.Alarick opened the doors to the large living room but froze on the spot when he saw what was being played on the flat screen
