DAY OUT

The next day was a weekend so Alarick stayed in. It was 7:00am in the morning. He sat at the dining table sipping his coffee and going through the latest business articles online. Even if this was one of his work free days he still had to keep up with the market.

As he dropped his coffee mug on the table, the doors to the dining room were opened by a hungover Grace. Her hair was disheveled and her tank top slid off her shoulders. She yawned and shuffled inside the dining room.

Alarick looked at her in amusement. He watched her move all the way to the seat beside him before she plopped down and groaned. Her head was resting on the dining table.

"Ugh! Why is it so bright?"

A chuckle left Alarick's lips. He closed his MacBook and set it down on the table to focus on the frustrated woman beside him.

"You drank a little too much last night. You were out cold till now. You didn't tell me you were a lightweight."

Grace grumbled.

"I'm not. You just gave me too much alcohol."
