In the darkness of the night, Victoria could still see the men grimacing in pain as they all tried to get back up on their feet.

She struggled to get over the shock of having Saint walk away from her without bothering to ask her to come with him. She didn't know if to follow Saint or go back to Jack Sparrow; but the logical answer would be to go back to Jack's house and remain with him.

There was no need to trying to patch things that was impossible to mend.

"That bloody bastard!" Victoria emotions suddenly got the better of her, "he couldn't even lift a finger to save me!" She yelled out into the night, not caring who had heard her.

"Why....why did I agree to divorce Saint and get married to a useless man like Jack Sparrow....that bloody idiot!"

"Oh gosh....I'm so stupid, I'm so stupid for letting Saint off just like that!" Victoria continued berating herself and tugging her hair in frustration. She sniffed back in the tears that threatened to cascade down her cheeks.

She could not fathom the idea that she had been given out in marriage to a man as worthless as Jack: a man who couldn't even defend his wife and allowed Strange men into the house so they could kidnap her.

Fortunately for Victoria, she almost knew this route like the back of her palm. Although she was not aware of where she was being taken to, neither had they informed her, she was familiar with this particular road they had been driving on.

As Victoria continued to walk back home, she wished that she would run into Saint, at least just one more time and tell him just how much she missed him.

This might have been the greatest mistake of her life.

She stood by the side of the road and tried flagging down a taxi but none was empty.

'where was such amount of people going to at this ungodly hour of the night?' Victoria intoned internally.

Seeing that she might have to walk all the way back to where she had been take from, she resigned to her fate and braced herself for the journey ahead, hoping she wouldn't collapse along the way from exhaustion.

******

Perplexity held Saint down in a choke hold until anxiety got the better of him, he was torn between going to his clan and secretly following Victoria to make sure she arrived home without any further harm or mishap.

He let out a loud sigh and continued walking down in a slouched manner. He hoped Victoria would get home safe because he couldn't go with his latter idea of following her.

How could he possibly do that when he knew that he would be escorting her back to his arch enemy's territory.

He swallowed the bitter pill of having her return by herself.

The thoughts of Victoria vanished from his mind for a moment.

"Paige..."

The sound of the name on his tongue felt like a thong had been thurst into his thigh.

He knew exactly who Paige was and he knew that he was an enemy—not because he had kidnapped the one he loved the most but because the kin clan had also assisted in getting him eliminated.

"Paige!" Saint said in a low tone. There was no need for him to wait for the right time to strike, he was going to take him out right now before words got to Paige that Saint was not dead yet.

With his decision already finalized, he set out towards the kin clan with a sense of resolve—he had been too merciful these days toward his nemesis.

But this time, he wasn't going to spare Paige's life or anyone that tried to stand in his way.

It felt like he was being carried by the wind as he quickened his pace down to the kin clan. It was still a long way ahead for him but the fury that was ravaging through him didn't allow him to feel the distance.

Within an hour, he was already standing upon a bridge that ran across the kin clan. The anger Inside him was already simmering just above the surface.

"It is the time to wipe my enemies away from the surface of the earth!" Saint said under his breath.

He raised his both hands toward the sky and lifted his gaze. "Grant me strength." He let out in a hazy tone.

He stood in that manner for a couple of minutes until his forearms had started to hurt. All of a sudden, he could feel the surge of power coursing through his being.

He closed his eyes and allowed the influx of power that he tapped from the sky. He had no idea how he was able to draw power from the night sky but it seemed to work when he connected his energy to the sky's.

The moment Saint opened his eyes, he felt like a whole new person—his skin glistening with an outwardly glow that seemed to radiate from his base.

He held onto the rail of the bridge with one of his hands and tightened his grip around it until the rail bent toward him.

He smiled to himself. His strength had doubled instantly and he was ready to take on his enemies.

*******

"And who might you be and what are you doing here at this time?" A guard stood at the entrance of the imperial building, blocking Saint's path.

Saint barely responded to him—didn't even ask him to move out of his way and just struck him down with a mighty blow.

The guard's weapons clattered on the ground as he fell immediately and began to convulse.

Saint walked over the guard and into the building. "How pathetic....only one guard to mount the entrance!" Saint scoffed and continued making his way inside.

"Hey, stop right there.....put your hands up in the air slowly!!" A loud voice echoed behind Saint.

He let out a devilish smile and put his hands up mockingly as he turned around slowly.
