Saint's breathing came out in a ragged state as he looked over the remains of what used to be the kin clan.

He had destroyed everything in sight, and not even a single soul was spared.

He managed to manoeuvre his way past the dead bodies scattered everywhere across the floors.

He looked down onto his own body and noticed the blood stains all over his clothes—not a single drop of blood had spilled from him but rather the blood stains were from all the people he had slaughtered.

Knowing that he needed to wash the blood stains off of him before he retired back to his clan so he wouldn't give his uncle another heart attack, he made his way back Into the building, hoping to find any place that he could wash the blood from him.

The cloak of darkness still surrounding the whole place prevented him from finding his way to any bathroom outlet and there wasn't any room in sight, just a vast space filled with bodies of the people he had killed.

He let out a loud sigh knowing that he would have to return to his clan in this state.

"I'm definitely sure that uncle would freak out at the sight of me.."

"But what can I do?" Saint said blankly to himself and continued making his way out of the clan.

He realised that after he had wiped out the entire kin clan, he couldn't feel the intense power he had tapped from the sky coursing through him anymore.

He remembered how he had killed Paige, who was the only man left after Saint had taken out every other person in the clan.

The moment he snapped Paige's head from the rest of his body, he felt the power from the sky drain out of him.

It was already the next morning by the time Saint got to his clan and just as he had predicted, the first person he met, pacing anxiously, was his uncle.

"Do you plan on giving me a heart attack, Saint!" He cried out the moment he set his eyes on Saint.

He ran as much as his age could carry him toward Saint.

"If you're hungry for death so much, why didn't you just remain underground when they first killed you?!!" Saint's uncle was referring to the time his enemies had extradited Saint and everyone had thought that Saint was dead.

"I have come to stay, uncle and no, I am not hungry for death...just revenge!" Saint replied casually, walking past him.

"You come back here, this minute!" His uncle said in a state of panic, running wearily after him.

"Uncle, you know that you do not need to worry about me this much!"

"Of course I have to be worried. Your parents entrusted you into my hands..." He started—trying to steady the heavy rise and fall of his chest and his equally ragged breathing.

"I failed them once—but I'm not going to fail them again. But you're making it hard for me, Saint!"

"You're making it hard for me to keep you alive if you're going to keep going into battle without precautions."

Saint stopped in his tracks and turned to face him. Without responding to what his uncle had just said, he blurted out; "I have taken out the kin clan and I did that all by myself. I think that should pass a message across..."

Saint stared at the expression of shock unravelling in his uncle's face.

"You...you did what?!" He stuttered heavily.

"I took out the kin clan completely. And I think I might have unlocked another level of power..." Saint whispered the last words to himself as he looked down upon his curled fist.

"That's not possible....how....how did you do that, alone?" He asked him, stepping closer to Saint.

"I figured I was able to. Now, I have to go wash myself. " Saint said simply and turned to walk away from his uncle.

The old man opened his mouth to say something, perhaps to call Saint back to him, but the right words eluded him. Instead, he stood, staring at Saint's back until he had disappeared out of sight.

His jaw hung down loosely when he gave it a proper thought. Saint had wiped out the entire kin clan!

"If the kin clan has been wiped out, that makes..." The old man paused mid sentence and put his hand out.

He curled his fingers into a ball and stuck each finger out slowly....

"That makes six clans left!" He concluded, "but how is it possible that he took them all out on his own. Or is he lying to me?"

A wave of emotions rushed through him, leaving the old man stuck between euphoria and confusion.

"If it is possible that what Saint is saying is true, then the Dragon clan is truly safe..." He said and his face lit up in a smile.

"After all these years!!" He added.

"I must go and see things for myself—if the kin clan has truly been destroyed. It's going to cause a lot of chaos among the other clans, but all will be worth it at the end. Well done, Saint." He let out, the smile extending past how long The old man had intended.

Until dawn, he would go to sleep knowing that the Dragon clan had regained its true leader who would protect and preserve it no matter the cost.

Placing a hand on his fractured hip, he walked down slowly to Saint's chambers.

A yawn slipped from his mouth but he didn't want to go bed yet without having a word with Saint and get to know how he had destroyed the kin clan without any help whatsoever and what had prompted him to do it this early without fortifying himself first.

"Saint, are you asleep yet?" The old man called out while knocking on Saint's door.

"I'm trying to, uncle." Saint shouted back.

"Alright, I'll leave you to rest but as soon as you wake up, we have a critical issue at hand to discuss."

"I hear you, uncle." Saint's muffled voice came from the other end of the door and everywhere fell silent again.

Not a single sound could be heard—the usual sound of the TV blaring was absent; As Jack never missed his nightly shows, not even for the world. But tonight was different from the rest. The house was equally as dark and Victoria had a hard time finding the switches so she could turn the lights on. "Jack?" Victoria called out, wiping the perspiration from her face, "Where the hell are you, Jack?" She called out again, but the only response she got was her voice echoing off the walls and bouncing back to her. It felt like the house was empty, there was not a sign of a soul in the house—all the house workers, including the security guard that was meant to be stationed at the gate had suddenly disappeared. Victoria marched up the stairs to be sure of what was happening. Had those men all taken everyone in the house out? It was possible that they would have, if they wanted to keep anyone back from coming af
