Nicholas emerged from the lab, peeling off his lab coat as he made his way to the adjacent room where Ryan waited anxiously. The fluorescent lights overhead cast a clinical glow on the stark white walls, the sterile atmosphere heightening the tension in the air.

Ryan's head snapped up as Nicholas entered, and he strode forward, the questions already spilling from his lips. "Finally, Nicholas... How is the examination going on? Are you guys done? What did the doctors have to say about this?"

Nicholas exhaled a weary sigh, running a hand through his disheveled hair. "I don't even know, Ryan. It doesn't look good, that much I can tell you. The doctor are still there, doing their thing."

Ryan ran a hand agitatedly through his hair, the motion betraying his growing unease. "I don't understand. Why do I feel so scared?" he murmured, almost to himself. "If Wraith loses his memory for real, I will not forgive myself for not killing him when I had the opportunity. He bette

Wraith gently sat up on the bed, his eyes darting around the lab. He took in the sterile environment, the various medical equipment, and the three doctors standing around him. Confusion and fear flickered across his features as his gaze flitted from Nicholas to Ryan and back again. These were the men he kept seeing each time he opened his eyes and the doctors behind him were the one who Injected him with God knows what. His breath shook as he tried to make sense of his surroundings. One could see the trepidation in his eyes as he straightened up, every muscle tense and ready to spring into action if need be. Quietly, the older doctor, his graying hair and kind eyes exuding a sense of calm, walked up behind Wraith and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. Wraith immediately jerked away, his eyes dilating in alarm. "Don't touch me," he said, his voice laced with apprehension. "Don't even try it." The doctor sighed and raised his hands in a placating gesture

Wraith closed his eyes, his brow furrowed as he tried to process this information. A single tear escaped, trickling down his cheek, and he opened his eyes, his gaze filled with a mixture of anguish and desperation. "I don't want to hear this anymore. Can I at least go home to meet my daughter and wife? I can come back when I finally cool my head and if I keep staying here, I might run mad because it's a lot to take in. That doesn't mean I believe you, hope you know that?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. Nicholas sighed, his expression pained as he tried to find the right words. "You have to believe us actually because I'm not even sure you have a daughter or a wife somewhere," he said, his tone apologetic. "You probably have a family as Joseph Riverdale, but not a family as Rankford." Wraith scoffed, his eyes narrowing in disbelief. "What are you talking about, Nicholas?" he said, his voice rising with each word. Nicholas leaned in, his gaze earnes

Nicholas paced back and forth in the sitting room, his shoes clicking against the polished hardwood floors. He ran his fingers agitatedly through his neatly-combed chestnut hair, the usually perfect strands now slightly disheveled as he tried to make sense of everything that had been going on. Firstly, it was Wraith losing his memory and having no idea who Nicholas or even what the RMI was, making him a very innocent person, plus he didn't even remember there was something called Coronavirus that almost took down the whole world. Secondly was Wraith having an entirely different name and sharing same surname with Nicholas because Malakai expunged his memory. And now, the person who had been wanting him dead all these while was his uncle and he didn't even know that. Everything just suddenly felt surreal, like a dream he couldn't quite wake up from, as he struggled to put the pieces together. Ryan who had been watching him from the raiser he sat on, approached

Imran cleared his throat, the sound cutting through the tense silence that had settled over the surveillance room. All eyes turned to him as he tried to catch his breath, his chest heaving. "Mr. Rankford is missing, sir," he managed to say, the words tumbling out in a rush. "What? Rankford?" Nicholas and Ryan exchanged a startled glance, then sprang into action, rushing out of the surveillance room with Imran hurrying to keep up behind them. What on earth would want to make Rankford run away? They thought they've been able to convince him that he had no family no where. Ryan and Nicholas hurried downstairs, hoping to find him anywhere along the hallway. In the living room, the three doctors, Corer and Rookson stood clustered together, their faces etched with worry and stress as though they've been running around all day long. Nicholas approached them, his brow furrowed. "Where is Mr. Rankford?" he asked, the urgency clear in his voice. The doctor

Ryan's head snapped up as Nicholas entered, his eyes filled with a mixture of worry and frustration. "Well?" he demanded. "Did you find out how Rankford escaped? Where did he... go?" Nicholas took a deep breath, his expression grave. "I don't know how this is going to sounds to all of you, but..." He paused, shaking his head. "From the footage we just watched, it looks like Rankford disappeared... mysteriously. No, I am not saying he has superpowers or something. But as soon as he got to the grand foyer, the camera couldn't catch the rest of his movement." Ryan chuckled, a disbelieving smile spreading across his face. "That's not possible," he scoffed, his gaze shifting between Nicholas and the doctors. Nicholas shrugged helplessly. "That's what I saw," he said, his voice tinged with uncertainty. Ryan's expression hardened, his eyes narrowing. "Well, we need to go look for him," he said, his tone brisk. "Maybe he's hiding somewhere in the compound. Let's sta

She never for once thought that something like that could happen to her and everytime she saw Nimah walking along the hallway, she just felt like attacking her and outing her for what she had done. She was lost in her own thoughts, wondering what would happen in the next minute. It was the gentle knock on the door that jarred her from her tormented musings. Quickly, she

Nimah settled herself on the chair across from India, her gaze never wavering. "I came to inform you about a dinner party at the Ravenhood's Villa tonight," she said, her tone casual, as if she were discussing the weather. India's brows shot up in surprise, her mind immediately racing with questions. "A dinner party?" she echoed, her voice tinged with skepticism. "At Robin's house?" Nimah nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Yes, that's what Mr. Ravenhood, Robin's father, has arranged. It's going to be fun I promised. Plus, you haven't even been to their villa before - It's way better than the Avendanos. They have different things we don't have here. I swear you'll love it there." India's gaze narrowed, her fingers tightening on the edge of the bed. "And why does it have to be at Robin's house? Because they have more resources or what? Did you even know that we're way wealthier than these people? The only reason father wants you to get married to Robi

The sterile, white-walled hospital reception area felt oppressive, the air thick with tension and worry. Ryan, Rookson, and Imran sat on the hard, plastic bench, each lost in their own thoughts as they waited anxiously for news of Nicholas's condition. The reception was a very busy place, glancing at your right side, you'd see people weeping and at your left side, you'd see some wailing and trying to fight with the doctors. Alot of people there were grieving - but loss was always greater than loss. Ryan's gaze was fixed on his phone's screen, his fingers trembling as he dialed a number, his mind racing with a thousand unanswered questions. He had been trying to reach out to as many people as he could, but none of them was answering a their call. Rookson and Imran stared intently at the closed theater room doors, their eyes filled with a mixture of fear and hope, as they silently prayed for their master's survival. None of them had ever witness something like thi

"Ryan, make research on every possible place Malakai could be at the moment and the kinds of appointments he have. You need to be quick with it," he said, his voice laced with urgency. Ryan nodded, already moving towards the study. "I'll get started on it right away," he assured, his footsteps echoing down the hall. An hour later, Ryan returned, a triumphant gleam in his eye. "I think I've found something," he announced, handing Nicholas a sheet of paper. "What is it?" Nicholas asked, his gaze scanning the document. "The last call Malakai made was to a man named Alvonso, he also made a call last night to the same man," Ryan explained. "They agreed to meet at a place called 'Dark Centre.' I don't know where that is, do you?" Nicholas felt a chill run down his spine. "Dark Centre," he murmured, his expression darkening. "Yes. I know it well. Malakai has used it as a

Nicholas sat in his lounge, staring pensively out the window as he munched on the fresh fruit arranged on the table before him. The late afternoon sun cast a warm glow through the glass, illuminating the worry etched on his brow. He had much to contemplate. While Nicholas was munching on the fruits, Ryan, strode into the room. Ryan's expression was unreadable as he placed a manila file on the table in front of Nicholas. "I have some news," he said simply, grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl and taking a bite. Nicholas looked up, his eyes narrowing. "Good news or bad news? All I've been hearing you guys tell me since I came back is bad news, I don't want anymore." he asked cautiously. Ryan shrugged noncommittally. "That depends on how you look at it, I don't know if it's good or bad," he replied, chewing contemplatively. Feeling a growing sense of unease, Nicholas sat up straighter. "Well, what is it then?" he pressed. With a heavy sigh, Ryan met Nichola

India's heart sank, her mind racing as she tried to make sense of this new revelation. The thought made her stomach churn with a mixture of betrayal and fury. She glanced out the window, noting that the day was waning, the sky slowly shifting to a deeper shade of blue. Turning back to Alexander, she reached out and grasped his hand, her gaze soft and reassuring. "I'm going to stay with you tonight," she said, her voice firm. "I want to be here, to make sure you're safe. He knows you're alive now, he might wanna try something stupid." Alexander smiled, his eyes brightening with relief. "Thank you, India. I'm glad you're here." The next morning, India rose early. She had slept fitfully, her dreams plagued by visions of her cousin in peril and Malakai's betrayal. As she dressed, she glanced back at Alexander, who was still soundly asleep. "I'll be back soon," she whispered, pausing to press a kiss to his forehead before slipping out of the room.

Even if not talk to him, it's my right you know it." Dr. Sinclair nodded, her expression reassuring. "Calm down, Lady Avendano. You have nothing to worry about, at all... your cousin has made remarkable progress. He's been asking for you, actually. If you'll come with me, I'll take you to his room." Maybe this time around, he'd be able to talk or say something. Suddenly, a familiar beeping from her phone disrupted the hum of the engine. India's brow furrowed as she glanced down, her eyes landing on the message notification that had just popped up. It was from the unknown number again. Her heart skipped a beat, as she clicked on the message and she read the ominous words: "You did a great job with Nimah. While I am very not satisfied with what you did, I am willing to reward you. Are you ready to know who killed your grandfather?" India's fingers trembled as she stared at the screen, her breath catching in her throat. She knew she should ignore the message, continue on to the hospital. But the curiosity that h

Why would you refuse to work with me now?" India offered him a small, sympathetic smile. "I know, and I appreciate all the work you've put into it. But my mind is made up. If you don't mind, I really should be going now." She rose from her chair, smoothing her hands over her skirt once more. Malakai nodded slowly, his expression resigned. "I see. "Wait, which Nicholas are you talking about, Nee?" she demanded, her voice laced with a hint of skepticism. "Nicholas Loughty of the Royal group, or Nicholas, the manager of KMT markets?" Nimah chuckled, her expression nonchalant. "I'm actually referring to India's husband, Nicholas," she stated matter-of-factly. "He and I have been... intimate. And here I am, carrying his baby in my womb. A dream come true, if you ask me." The room erupted into a cacophony of shocked exclamations, the family members struggling to comprehend the Nimah's words. India stepped out of her room, her carefully made-up face masking the tiredness etched on her soul. It's another day to go check on Alexander, hoping he would finally be able to say a word to her. As the door opened fully, her eyes landed on the figure standing before her. Nimah stood there at the doorstep with a hesitant expression on her face, hands clasped tightly together in front of her. India's brow furrowed in confusion, her mind racing to piece together why Nimah would be waiting at her doorstep. "Nimah?" she questioned, a slight edge to her tone. "What are you doing here? What the hell? You scared me... How long have you been standing there?" Nimah swallowed hard, her gaz
