Erica and Evelyn trudged through the dense forest, their footsteps growing heavier with each passing hour.

"When are we going to stop I'm already so fucking tired," Evelyn muttered as she held me to one of the trees for support.

"We have to keep moving before it goes dark," Erica said with a serious tone.

"If you are okay spending the night in the forest then it is fine by me," Erica remarked rolling her eyes.

"Not," Evelyn said quickly pushing herself away from the tree and filling Erica closely.

The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows that made the forest seem even more unfamiliar.

"I swear we've passed that tree before," Erica said, pointing to a large oak with a distinctive knot in its trunk.

"You are probably seeing things because you are tired and have been walking for hours," Erica said bluffing Evelyn off.

"I think it's the same one I was leaning upon a few hours ago."
