"Think someone or something is outside," Erica said hurriedly.

Her hands were shaking as she reached to grab the touch.

"Quick down." Evelyn hushed.

"We don't know what's out there." She said firmly.

"Hide behind me just in case it's something dangerous. I can't risk you getting hurt or else the dragon general will hunt me to death." She whispered.

Erica held onto Evelyn as the two of them planted softly in fear.

Suddenly it was as if the sound faded o to the woods.

"Do you think it was some wild animal," Erica whispered.

"Shh." She hushed her up.

"Keep your voice down."

They settled into their sleeping bags, trying to get comfortable despite the uncertainty hanging over them.

Erica stared at the ceiling of the tent, her mind racing with thoughts of how they could have avoided this situation.
