Arthur had just arrived home when the clock struck nine. He threw himself onto the sofa as he placed the file he had brought on the table.

For the first time, Arthur felt like he was actually working. His body was tired, his head had a persistent headache. Even his eyes heat up as he felt exhausted from looking at every order he had received over the past three years.

"Pete! Please, bring me some coffee!"

Instead of hearing the shout from inside the kitchen, Arthur closed his eyes and patted his head briefly. He had completely forgotten that Pete was no longer living with him. "Even Pete was more in favour of that scum than me. What am I missing?"

One maid who heard Arthur's request quickly made coffee and brought it to the guest table. She bowed quietly, then opened some snacks in a glass jar to enjoy with the hot coffee.

"Sorry, I just heard you were coming, Mr Fischer."
