Harold responded with a text immediately. “Yes, young master. I’ll do that right away.”

Adrian was about to keep his phone back in his pocket when he remembered that he also had to get his mother a house, so he typed in another text message to Harold. “Arrange a smaller villa for my mom as well. Ensure it is in very close proximity to mine.”

After sending the text, he kept his phone back in his pocket and raised his head to face Anita.

“I just texted a good friend of mine,” he began, smoothly coming up with a believable story that wouldn’t leave her skeptical, “who is a real estate agent and explained our current situation to him. He has agreed to let us stay in one of the houses he is managing for a client who lives abroad but needs someone to live in the house and take care of it.”

The worry lines on Anita’s forehead eased and a surprised yet relieved expression settled on her face. “Really? That’s great! I was so scared we would be left stranded on the streets.”
