9.Invited

Vilma cleared her throat.

“I’m sorry. Let me just see who arrived. Georgina, apologized at them right now.” Vilma said and left.

Vilma was so mad that someone arrived while she was with the Winlows.

“Who arrived?! I don’t have any other gustes right now.” she asked the maid.

The maid shrugged her shoulder, but she looked very tense and scared. Lady Vilma smelled something fishy around.

“Good day, Lady Vilma.” Arthur stood up and bowed his head.

Lady Vilma looked at him with a shocked expression. She didn't even know him but when she looked at his car outside, she already knew he was rich.

“Good day, mister. I’m sorry but do I know you?” she asked him.

Arthur just giggled and shook his head.

“Actually, this is the first time we have met. My name’s Arthur Warren and I am here under my boss. He asked me to come here and gave this to you.” Arthur said and handed the envelope at her.

Lady Vilma was still very shocked and confused. She took the envelope and slowly took out the paper inside.

“A letter from the Scotts? Oh my gosh!” she excitedly said.

Arthur just smiled and nodded at her.

“Is this for real? The Scotts are inviting us for dinner tonight with my family. God knows how rich and famous they are until now.” she said.

Their plan had worked, and she really fell down with the trap. It was Dion’s idea to invite them for dinner but he’s not going to show up that easily.

“Yes, and I hope you can come. Mr. Scott was so eager to meet you.” Arthur said.

Lady Vilma couldn’t help but look very excited until she realized something.

“I’m sorry but wait... does he knows us?” she asked him.

Arthur cleared his throat. He would never think he didn’t know what he was going to answer with her question.

“Yeah! Actually, he knows your deceased husband.” he answered.

Lady Vilma nodded.

“Okay, thank you for this Mr. Warren, and as much as I want to talk with you more, I have dazzling guests inside the dining hall. But we’re going to be at the dinner later on.” Lady Vilma said.

This time, Arthur couldn’t help but smile widely. He left the Beiber’s mansion with a satisfying look.

“So, how was it?” Dion asked him.

Dion was inside the car waiting for him.

“It was a great plan. She said they were coming.” Arthur said.

“Good. When money speaks, that evil woman always comes.” Dion said.

Because of Vilma’s excitedness to prepare for their dinner with the Scotts, she hurriedly ended the breakfast with the Winlows.

“What’s going on, mom? I thought you were going to play golf with them.” Rio asked her.

Vilma just chuckled and took a deep sigh. She called everyone inside the living room.

“Hush, my son. We have something to do tonight.” she said.

All of them started gossiping. Georgina was curious as well.

“What? What are we going to do?” Georgina asked her.

Lady Vilma groaned and glared at her. She hated the way she behaved back with the Winlows a while back, but she doesn’t have much time to sermon or scold her right now.

“Don’t act curious there, Georgine. I still hate the way you answered the Winlows a while ago.” she told her.

She never said anything.

“I just want to inform all of you that we need to look expensive tonight because someone invited us for such an expensive and elegant dinner.” she mumbled.

Charlotte gasped and stood up happily. She was so excited when it came to elegant dinners or parties.

“Dinner? Who invited us mom?” their dad asked.

“The Scotts. I know every one of you knows them. They were the richest family in the world, people. I think this is one of the ways we needed to do it. I guess the CEO didn’t invite us for nothing.” she smirked.

“The Scotts? But is it only Mr. Samuel Scott left in that family because his wife and children all died.” Meredith, their mom asked.

This time, all of them were curious and confused about the Scotts.

“You were right about that, Meredith. Tha’s what I heard as well but the butler told me that he knew Ben. Maybe, they were friends back then.” Vilma said.

Georgina felt something was going on, but she didn’t feel worried or scared about it. She could feel that she was very excited even.

“I’m not going. I will stay here.” she said.

All of them scoffed and looked at her.

“For Christ’s sake! Are you staying here and waiting for your dumbass husband? Come on, wake up, sister. He’s gone, okay? He already left you.” Charlotte told her.

Georgina groaned angrily at her sister.

“Stop! No one’s leaving behind, okay? Because he was all expecting us. Thus, I don’t want him to ask missing people around the family.” Vilma said.

All of them nodded except for her. She just wanted to say that Dion might come and save her as he promised to her. She knew and she trusted him. He would never abandon her.

“I heard from my parents that Mr.’ Scott’s son married, and they have a son, but because the wife was poor, Samuel Scott hated them, is that true?” Leo spoke up.

All of them don’t know about that fact even Vilma was outrageous hearing what Leo just said.

“Really?” she asked Leo.

“Yes, grandmother. That’s what I heard from them the time they were talking with one of their business partners before. But I think his grandson, he hasn’t still found him.” Leo added.

When Vilma realized something, her eyes grew bigger, and she looked at Georgina with a smirk on her face.

“Thank you for that wonderful information, Leo. If they already found the grandson or if he was there with him already, I might suggest he let his grandson marry our Georgina. In that way, we’re going to be richer.” Vilma wickedly said.
