8. Convincing her

It was already dark, and Dion couldn’t sleep thinking about Georgina. He wanted to call her, but he needed to calm down as what Samuel told him. If he really wants to get revenge for himself, then, he needs to follow what his grandfather told him. Georgina felt the same as well, she hid their phones under her pillow so that she could hear if Dion was going to call. They already missed each other.

“Georgina, are you still up?” her dad asked her.

As usual, they were still at the residence place because Lady Vilma got madder after finding out that Dion was released. She knew they needed his signature for Georgina to marry Ronald.

“Yeah.” Georgina said.

George Sr took a deep breath and looked at her.

“I’m sorry for everything that happened but don’t you really know where your husband might be?” he asked her.

She shook her head.

“No, dad. I already told all of you how many times I don’t know where he is.” she angrily said.

Her dad just calmed her down and nodded.

“I just want to make sure because I heard your grandmother calling the Winlows about your wedding with their heir, Ronaldo. You know it’s very easy to follow Dion’s signature to sign the divorce papers.” he said.

Georgina's heart beats with fear. She knew that her dad was scaring her off.

“You can’t do that, dad.” she told him.

She knew that her dad was an expert in copying signatures. Her dad just took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

“I know you already love him, daughter, but you need to think of the family as well. We needed the Winlows for us to survive. I am not telling you that you’re selfish but please... think about us.” he said.

She was making her realize them, but Georgina closed her eyes. She couldn’t imagine marrying a guy she doesn’t even love. She just shook her head and held onto her blanket tightly.

“No, I am not going to marry him even if you make me.” she said.

Her dad was disappointed to talk to her about it. She would never think that they were being so selfish thinking about themselves as well.

“Fine, it’s up to you if you want us to end up on streets.” her dad said and went to their bed.

Georgina couldn’t help but cry. She knew that she was the only way for them to survive but she just couldn’t help thinking about Dion. The first time she met Dion, she fell in love with him already. And when their grandpa announced that she was going to marry him, she felt that she was the happiest woman living on earth. She cried and cried until she fell asleep.

She woke up not to find her parents in their bed beside her. She felt nervous and hurriedly stood up.

“Where are they?” she blurted.

Her parents weren’t cleaning outsde and she decided to run inside, and she was shocked to see the Winlows with her family having some tea and breakfast.

“Ohhh! There she is. Come on, darling.” Lady Vilma said.

Ronaldo winked at her, but she didn’t say anything. She knew what was happening and she ran outside.

“I’m sorry, George, can you go and invite your sister here?” Lady Vilma asked her brother to go and get Georgina.

George nodded and saw his sister outside crying.

“Come on, Georgina. Your crying wouldn’t help us. It’s over for you, okay? They were already talking about your wedding with Ronaldo.” George told her.

Georgina glared at him. She wanted to escape but the guards were informed by her grandmother to watch out for her.

“No! I am not going to marry him and if you want him, then, make grandmother marry that guy!” she yelled at George.

George was surprised by what she said. He slapped her which made her scoff. Right now, she just wishes that Dion would show up and help her.

“You’re such a freak, Georgina! How dare you say that! Don’t you know that she was doing everything for us, her family?!” her brother yelled at her.

Georgina didn’t say anything. George grabbed and dragged her until they reached the dining hall. She had no choice but to bear and sit with them.

“Georgina, right? I am Ronaldo’s dad and we’re your future in-laws.” Mr. Winlow said.

Georgina just didn’t say anything. She was so disrespectful that Lady Vilma beside her kicked her feet. Vilma even widened her eyes warning her.

“Yeah, nice to meet you.” Georgina just said.

Lady Vilma smiled and felt relieved.

“See? She's just so moody somethmes.” she mumbled.

All of them giggled except for her.

“Ohhh! I was so excited for your wedding day.” Her sister, Charlotte, spoke up.

Georgina threw off her deadly glare, but Charlotte smirked at her. She just likes teasing her sister after all. She closed her fists controlling to create chaos in front of their visitors.

“Thank you, my future sister-in-law.” Rnald said.

Georgina was very disgusted when he just said that. She couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

“So, as we have agreed upon, my dear Georgina. Your wedding to Ronaldo would be next week.” Lady Vilma said.

Georgina was shocked and stood up.

“What?!” she asked.

All of them looked at her. The Winlows looked mad that she wasn’t happy, but Lady Vilma just dragged her down to sit down.

“Yes, next week. Please don’t make things hard here if you don’t want me to kill Dion if they have found him.” Lady Vilma whispered to her.

She threatened her but Georgina doesn’t want her to control her anymore or her family.

“No! I am not going to marry him.” she said.

All of them gasped, especially the Winlows and before Vilma says something, a knock from the maid interrupted them.

“I’m sorry but there’s someone here to see you.” the maid said.
