CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR

Without looking at the caller ID, Kevin didn’t answer right away.

“It must be my boss looking for me, I have to go back to work now. Take care of yourself Lily.”

Kevin didn’t give Lily a chance to ask him any further questions, he just turned around and left.

He walked pretty far from the Jones Mansion before he took out his phone.

He checked his call logs and saw that it was Ivy that called him earlier.

Slightly confused, Kevin dialed the number.

“Sorry, I wasn’t able to pick the call earlier. Is there anything I can do to help you?”

Kevin asked.

“Kevin, I really need your help. Do you have the time?” Ivy sounded anxious.

“I think I can pull away from work for a while. Where are you?”

Kevin asked straight-forwardly.

“I’m at the store, I’ll be waiting for you at the door when you get here.” Ivy replied.

She wanted to make sure that Kevin had a better welcome than last time.

After hanging up, Kevin waved down a taxi and got to Anderson Antiques in less than an hour.
