CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE

Kevin couldn’t really understand what Grandma Jones was thinking.

How could she refuse to believe Kate and these four men?

“We are telling the truth.”

The fourth employee blurted out.

“I still have the receipt of the bank transfer. I have not removed a cent out of the money he gave me.”

As he spoke, one of his partners took out his phone and shouted,

“I’ve got proof too!”

“Don’t try to put all the blame on us.”

Said the other one as he tried to pull out his phone.

They knew what kind of man Drake was but however, they decided that they would rather face Drake’s wrath than to explain themselves to Collins Coke.

Drake was furious.

He stared at them as they were holding up their phones.

“Drake, are you really responsible for all this?”

Grandma Jones looked really upset.

Drake didn’t know what to say to her.

Suddenly, Kevin nudged to Lily’s shoulder and asked her mischievously,

“How are you doing? Do you feel any better now?”

“Shut up!”

Lily scowled but she was definitely relieved.
