CHAPTER FORTY-NINE

It wasn’t really their faults, the Gold sun-burst Pearl was very rare and valuable.

They probably have never seen the real one in their entire lives.

“You had better find proof, otherwise I am calling the police” Sam continued.

“Wow… you really are stubborn.”

Kevin turned around and looked at Ivy and said,

“I am sure you have some equipment in your lab. Go ahead and check them out, I’m sure these are fake prose maybe even made out of plastic that had been chemically treated to fool the eye.”

Ivy handed them the broken prose and said,

“Go and examine it, quickly.”

“Yes president, right away.”

Mr. Gilbert quickly picked up the string of pearls and headed to the lab.

“But how will I know if you won’t switch them with fakes?”

Sam shouted out loudly.

“Don’t worry, we will never do such a despicable thing.” Ivy answered shortly.

She was no longer offended, she definitely felt lucky.

If Kevin had not been there, her reputation would have been tarnished.
