CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE

Kevin said to Lily with a smile,

“Lily, if I told you that I bought this place for you, would you believe me?”

Lily didn’t know what to say.

She began to explain,

Before she could continue, Kevin interrupted. “You were there the day I bought it.”

Lily immediately remembered and asked him, “Was it the day you and James had that fight?”

She recalled asking Kevin where he got the black card but James was being a real bastard, so Kevin never got the chance to explain it to her.
