CHAPTER 02: THE RUMOR
“Have you heard the news?” He overheard the managers talking, he was about to ignore it but then he heard his wife’s name. He didn’t make it obvious, he was still looking at the papers that he was holding but his attention was clearly not on the papers, he was starting to imagine things that he should not be thinking.
“Seriously? I thought she said that they are just friends and it just works, she sure is a sly bitch,” The woman said, the other woman nod her head and laugh. He stopped looking at the papers when the women finally left the meeting room. He leaned on the chair and pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed her number.
He should at least know what is going on, even if this is an unrequited feeling he has the fact that she is his wife, and he has the right.
“I told you not to call me, didn’t I?” He can sense the harshness of her voice, he should not be doing this right now but he needed answers. “Is it true?” He asked, the silence was there, she didn’t answer him and that’s even worst, he could imagine it.
“It’s just a rumor, and I don’t need to explain to you as long as I do my part, you do yours, stop minding someone else's business,” She said before ending the call, he pulled a handful of his hair, he was frustrated.
His phone vibrated, it was a message from his mother. He knew what is this about. He sighed heavily before standing up. He needs to remind himself that this should be good, it’s just a rumor.
He is exhausted. A sigh escaped from his mouth. He should be relieved but he was not.
He got home early than usual, he is not in the mood and most definitely he is not good. Sol’s father scolded him for asking their daughter about the issue and why he should be minding someone’s business if even he can’t make himself useful.
“You wanted this, you should start getting used to it,” Well, he practically is since he once worked with Sol’s father, as his assistant before he made her pregnant and married her.
He decided to open his laptop, he can saw the trending news, and one of those are his wife’s rumor. He didn’t want to ruin everything and just decided to ignore it, but what caught his attention was Sol’s family issue, he clicked the article and read the words.
“Alonso’s Influence came to an end as Mr. Alfred Alonso’s gambling addiction made their business fall into near bankruptcy.” He read the full article before he finished his phone rang which made him confirm it when he saw who was the caller.
He answered his phone and he could hear the ambulance service in the background. “Come to the hospital right now,” Ms. Centia said and ended the call. He closed his laptop and grab his keys before heading to the Hospital.
He arrived after twenty minutes of driving and immediately asked for Sol’s father. He hurried his pace and sent Sol a message about the situation.
He saw Ms. Centia outside the room as well as Mr. Alonso’s wife, Sol’s mother. He walks towards them and looks at Centia, who is standing while holding a bag in her hand. “How’s Mr. Alfred?” He asked.
“There’s no update yet, the doctors are still inside,” Centia answered. He sigh and took a glance at Mrs. Alonso, sitting on the chair beside Centia. “How’s Mrs. Alonso? Is she okay?” he asked, Centia just shakes her head. He was never close to them, and even though he worked for them for almost three years, they were never easy to talk to type of a person.
He just nodded his head and glanced at his phone, still there are no sign of Sol. She should be hurrying right now considering that he is his father's little princess. Centia’s phone rang and she excused herself to answer the call.
“Did you call Sol?” Mrs. Alonso said, he took a glance and back to his phone before answering. “I sent her a message, but there’s no reply,” He said.
“Don’t bother, she’s on her way,” Sol’s mother said. He just nodded his head and waited with Sol’s mother. After a while, the doctors appeared at the door, Sol’s mother immediately stood up from her seat and listened to what the doctor said.
He can see how devastated Sol’s mother was, Centia guided her and he immediately answered the call from his secretary. “Yes, don’t worry, we will handle it tomorrow, just clear my schedule,” He answered, after giving instructions he immediately ended the call and walk towards the entrance.
He saw Sol entering the Hospital and was guarded by his bodyguards while entering. He walk towards them and guided her towards her father’s room.
“How is he?” She asked, he didn’t answer her instead he took her to her father’s room. He needed to tone done the media and help Centia. “We’re here,” He said, he opened the door and let her close the door. He walks towards Centia who is busy talking on her phone probably the secretary of the investors.
“Yes, we will be sending the invitation tomorrow for the meeting, thank you,” She ended the call and glance at Tyron. They walk towards the entrance and they were followed by Sol’s bodyguard. Centia immediately advised the reporters that they will give their statements tomorrow before leaving them.
“You should at least ask them if what are their plans, we will be having a press conference tomorrow, Miss. Alonso is the best pick to answer them but I don’t know if she would agree to do it,” Centia said, he thought of it but it’s not what he should do, he should be comforting his wife right now.
“I will,” He just said, he saw Centia nodded her head. They headed back towards the hospital room. He knocked before opening the door.
“Centia,” Mrs. Alonso called out Centia’s name, she immediately walk towards her. He walks towards Sol and sat beside her.
“I know you’re tired, please rest,” He said gently, with all these going on, he should be patient and wait for her explanation, he knows that it’s impossible but he should still hope.
“I am fine,” She just responded, staring blankly at her father’s bed. “This should not happen right now, I am getting close to what I want,” she said without any emotion. He should talk to her about things to distract her but somehow he couldn’t open his mouth.
He heard her phone rang, she immediately got up from her seat leaving them inside the room.
He wonders if it was just a rumor, or there’s something else.
After spending few hours on the hospital, they decided to go home. He slowly guided her, holding her elbow gently as she walks beside him.
“Keep your hand away from me,” She whispered, he slowly let go of her, he was ashamed and totally forgot about their agreement. “I’m sorry,” He heard her clear her throat before walking ahead away from him.
When they got home, he heard her phone ring. She was smiling when he saw her, his instincts are telling him that something was off but he should not be meddling with it. He heard his wife’s footsteps ascending the stairs. He glanced at her and decided to sat on the sofa, telling himself he should not follow her.
“F*ck it!” He cursed as he stood up from his seat and walk slowly toward their bedroom. He leaned slowly on the door listening, he could hear his wife laughing, giggling as if she was flustered by something. His knuckles turned into a fist before he slammed the door open.
“Tyron! What are you doing?!” She immediately ended the call before turning around to face him completely, Tyron who was completely sane enough heard her saying I love you on the phone.
“Are you cheating? Yes or no, Marie,” He can see her tense posture, a few seconds passed before she crossed her arms in her chest, and with a mocking smile plastered on her face, she laugh at him.
“I should be the one asking you that, Tyron,” Sol said, he blinked his eyes twice. She was clearly denying and avoiding his question. “What? I asked you first, Marie! Don’t turn the story around,” He said, he walks towards her slowly, grabbing her wrist slowly, and pulling her towards him.
“Are you cheating on me, Marie? Just give me a damn yes or no! I am begging you, please!” He clearly lost it, Sol wiggled her arms trying to get away from his grip. “Don’t ask me as if you are not doing something dirty, Tyron! I saw you earlier!” He saw a tear escape her eyes, and little sobs followed. ‘Shit!’ Tyron mentally curse as he loosen his grip.
“Stop accusing me when you’re the one who is cheating between us!” After shouting that, Sol left the room, crying, slamming the door behind her, he felt his knees weaken.
“What have I done? God, help me,” he whispered as he punch the wall, with teary eyes and a broken heart.
CHAPTER 03: DISASTER“Why do I have to explain myself?! I already told you for god’s sake, Tyron! I am not cheating!” Sol’s loud voice echoed throughout the room. Tyron palmed his face, as he was feeling frustrated. He wanted to calm himself and try to talk to her calmly but Sol’s reaction was making him frustrated even more. They’ve been fighting ever since that night. “Let’s talk this out, alright? Calm down,” He just said instead, his patience was on the verge of breaking, he should be the one that was mad but he choose to lower himself so that their marriage could work, he hoped. “What was the pictures means, then? Just tell me you didn’t like it or even you tried to stop him, please!” He was desperate for answers, he wants to end his doubts and put his mind at ease. When he saw the pictures that were taken, Sol and Mr. Arsona is kissing publicly, in a bar, it was the night they had a fight when he heard her saying ‘I love you on her phone. Sol crossed her arms in her chest and

Michael nodded his head. “Good.”His men reported that Ms. Gabriela went missing. “You imbeciles! Find her!” He shouted and the men immediately went outside. He should keep her safe, after all, she’s Tyron’s mother. He gritted his teeth and looks at the pictures in front of him.“Bastard,” He whispered and s

Please, come home, I think there’s someone downstairs,’ ‘Sweetheart? Please, if you’re there, help me,’‘The person is now coming upstairs, please,’‘Take care, Son, I love you'He wiped his tears as he read the texts, he should be blaming himself, he should have checked his phone and driven carefully, he should have been more responsible. Sobs escaped his mouth, covering his mouth, and he groaned in pain. “I promise to punish him for you, Mom,” He whispered and looked at the picture of them hugging his mother while they were smiling brightly. He dialed his assistant’s number that was in his contacts. After a few rings, Kevin picked up his call. “What’s up, Boss?” Kevin asked him, he didn’t mind if he talked to him casually. “I need you to find someone, please repo
