I saw Jenna’s lips curl into a smile but the smile soon faded when Simon came to join us, I watched as he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into him.

Jenna looked away from me, her cheeks turning red as she did everything in her power to avoid eye contact but I only smiled.

It would’ve been extremely stupid of me to keep chasing her after knowing that she would never choose me and if given the chance, she would choose Simon over and over again.

“The wretched cleaner is here.” Simon announced amidst laughter but neither I nor Jenna found anything funny in that.

I watched as her eyes darkened with a glimmer of anger but she didn’t say anything as she only buried her face on Simon’s chest.

“I hope you’re going to concentrate on your job and not walk around uselessly like the wretched human being you are.” Simon sneered and I only nodded.
