Maurice was in the living room with Ian when he heard a crashing sound coming from the bedroom.

Worried that something might have happened to Sarah, he rushed to the bedroom to find Sarah on the bed while pieces of her phone were scattered on the ground.

“Honey, what happened,” he asked, staring at the pieces of the expensive device that she had so cherished.

“I knocked my phone down by accident,” she lied, feigning worry.

“It's all right. I'll get you another one.” Samantha seemed to have heard the sound as well as she also rushed into the room.

“Mother! Did you just smash a 5 million dollar phone?” Samantha asked with wide eyes.

“No, it was an accident..” Sarah responded before realizing what Samantha had said.

Samantha, knowing her mother as she did, knew that there was no way her mother would have been this careless with her priceless phone.
