Phantom Knight versus Adaptoid

(UNIDENTIFIED PLANET)

The sky was yellow; the soil red like clay, but soft like sandy soil. Phantom Knight was on a chair in the same place Photo Power had come to; he was holding his sword as always, and bending his head.

Approaching footsteps could be heard as someone was coming; Phantom Knight raised his head slowly to see who it was, “Well Well Well… if this isn’t Phantom Knight”, the person said; having a female voice

“And you are?”, Phantom Knight asked

“I'm a big fan… really big fan of your great feats… but I'm not here for what everyone has always wanted”

“why are you here?”, Phantom Knight asked

“We both know it’s almost impossible; no… impossible to take that sword, but I can make you lose it, by… clearing your records; destroying your feats and pride”

Phantom Knight smirks, “leave… or you'll be one of the heads”

“And yes… You can call me… Adaptoid”, she said with a wicked smile across her face.

Adaptoid has come for a very big thing; and Phantom Knight wouldn't want the planet he resides in to be destroyed cause he knows what will happen thereafter. He rose up from his position and raised his head, “not without a fight”, he said

She nodded in agreement and immediately he thrusts her away with a super punch; out of the cave he was in. Then he came out too; seeing her waiting for him like she didn't even feel hurt.

He stabs the ground with his sword and was ready to fight her without a weapon as she wasn’t using any either. This time, she came at him; tries to deliver a punch to his face, but he moved to the side sharply and counters; she grabbed his hand before it could touch her; then threw him to the side like paper.

She followed his direction, but he came back at her, and with a bang on his chest, space tore open as light sparkles and everywhere shook.

Phantom Knight found himself on one knee, 'she's strong', he thought, 'and powerful… but hasn't shown her powers yet’

Adaptoid was few meters from him, thinking too, 'why is he holding back? Won't make this battle fun for me if he continues holding back’

Phantom Knight got back on his feet and spoke, “what exactly do you want?”

“oh, you're scared…”, she replied, “you should be… And as I said… I answer the questions I wanna answer… This one… not interested”

He grins and yells; dashing towards her, but before she could block the attack coming, she was punched from behind to the one coming from ahead; colliding into the punch too.

It was a clone of Phantom Knight. She looked up to see and sighs, “I definitely didn't miss that…”

The clone disappears while Phantom Knight yelled, “whoever you are… I will destroy you myself”

She was just thinking of attacking when she lost control of her body for a second as auras engulfed her like a rope; suspending her mid-air, he distorts their surroundings and the terrain into a rough one with rocks before he began to slam her on the ground over and over without touching her.

Adaptoid groans while Phantom Knight made a portal; throwing Adaptoid into it. But also going in with her.

She could see herself falling in an endless darkness with multi colored objects with no regular shape; she wasn't in control of her fall, but Phantom Knight was coming after her as he seemed in control.

He grabs her leg and thrusts her to the side.

Appearing back on the planet and falling from the sky, Phantom Knight grabs her and threw her through a black hole; before reversing it again and bringing her back to fall on the ground face first.

If Adaptoid is as weak as this; why was she so confident in herself? “Still not satisfied?”, he asked as his sword appeared in his right hand; he could see her getting up again.

“Fantastic Display of power”, she laughed, “Isn't this something that could make a very powerful being go down? Sometimes I wonder… opponents don't last this long against you because everything about your moves have extreme effects on them; like a punch could’ve ended it… I saw how short you fought with that other guy; he has copied a lot of powers; he’s a demi-god and has great potential… but you just defeated him with a clone of yours; wow”

“But you’re still standing… what are you?”, Phantom Knight asked

“I won't answer that question either”, she giggled, “it’s time for my performance”

She spread her hands sideways and a malevolent force filled there surroundings; having diverse effects as it destroyed things. Phantom Knight came at her, about to strike her with his sword, but she made a force field so strong that it couldn’t cut through; imagine that; if this sword could cut a star in two, what kinda force field is this.

He wondered why, but she yelled at him; throwing him backwards, but he disappears and appeared behind her, blasting her with one punch, but she didn't move an inch; she turned around with a smile on her face and so fast that before he could teleport, she delivers an upper cut and kicked him like a ball.

The energy was spreading through the planet, then it began to sink into the ground; as Phantom Knight tries to absorb and contain it, he couldn’t.

Adaptoid stretched her hands towards him; negating what he was trying to do and causing a rift at that particular spot as everything in a small distance around Phantom Knight began to spin uncontrollably; including him, before it disappeared into nothing

She raised her right hand, and he appeared falling to the ground with his sword.

She began to walk on and every spot she stepped on glowed red and some had cracks, she clenched her fist and sharply moved it to the right like she was throwing something but wasn’t; she had easily cut through space and enlarge the line; opening it like opening a zipped bag

Phantom Knight tries to attack her one last time from behind, but she moved to the left and grabbed the sword with her hand; it didn’t cut through her. Instead, she caused the sword to reshape as its metal side which she held shifted to the opposite side; the sword now facing Phantom Knight and surprisingly stabbing him. Leaving him injured. He fell to the ground; in pain like every other person would feel; except him, but not until now.

She covered him up on a force field and majestically walked through a portal. Immediately she was gone, the planet BOOMED. EXPLOSION

It was gone in an instant.

The effect was felt in other parts in different worlds; this would surely have awoken some cosmic beings or even released some trapped creatures; only God knows why Adaptoid did this. But we'll find out here… soon

Eyes opened slowly and vision blurry at first; Phantom Knight was laid down with his sword beside him. He was somewhere; perhaps somewhere strange he hasn't been before; or somewhere he doesn’t want to be. He sat up; he was on a rock which was suspended in space. No planets around here, so this must be a realm or dimension.

He looked up and noticed five vertical rocks; so long that it would be hard to see what's at the top; but these rocks had its top to be chair and there were occupants on each of the chairs

Their faces and body couldn’t be seen clearly by Phantom Knight. Phantom Knight grunts and realized he hadn’t healed up yet, this wasn’t right.

“You have failed”, one of them said in a bass voice that could vibrate a whole city. Phantom Knight gasps and replied, “You saw everything happen; why didn't you help me?”

“Because it is your responsibility to be the Phantom Knight… the one who guards the sword”, another said in a feminine voice

“I know that well. But, I protected it was much as I could, she did this on purpose; someone must have sent her so everything could go off balance and chaos…”

“That doesn't matter”, another male voice uttered

“She overpowered me; she destroyed the planet so I could lose my right to being the Phantom Knight… then the sword becomes easy to steal; except someone else achieves a feat greater than mine… the sword will be left vulnerable now”

“Because you no longer deserve it…”, the bass voice said

“your time’s up…”, a younger male voice added, “as the Phantom Knight”

The heads of the four who have spoken so far turned to the one at the center; that one had not spoken yet, but she spoke; she's female too,

“You’re no longer Phantom Knight”

She pointed a finger at him, and light escaped from all over him while the sword disappears and then he disappeared too.

Adaptoid was in space, staying still; her eyes closed as well. Was she waiting for cosmic beings to come for her for what she did? She opened her eyes suddenly; something was coming towards her direction and it was close. She turned around and saw someone or something she probably wasn’t expecting; it had grey skin; crystal eyes, a scar on its chest; it was huge; about 8ft at the lowest. It had no top on, but black metallic shorts.

“DEMOLISH”, she said

Demolish chuckles and replies “I've traced why I was released down here; a girl…”, he chortles even more, “But thanks to you; I get to finish my uncompleted mission of which I was hindered from before the start”

“You shall not pass”, she snapped back

“I didn't say I would; and I don't need your permission to leave… just know one thing, whatever you did will allow me ruin some lives”

She grins and was about to attack him when he clicked something on his belt and a he teleported; but where has he gone to?

“No… I can’t distract myself; I need to focus on what I have to do; no matter the mistakes”, she said to herself.

Someone was lying on an island of only rocks, waters all around with no end, even its start; unknown. The individual raised his head and saw where he was, it was the Phantom Knight.

He scratched his head and turned around; getting up quickly.

He was in the middle of nowhere, no plant nor animal; just the rock island and the waters around.

“Where am I?”, he asked himself

He touched his stomach and saw the scar. Immediately, he began to remember different things that had happened till the moment he was sent away.

He fell on his knees; looking angry,

“I… I am PHANTOM KNIGHT,

I live to exercise GREAT MIGHT,

Nobody can strip me of MY RIGHT!”

He then yelled out loud; his voice echoing as everywhere vibrated.
