Adrian's gaze traveled to the mirror and then to the digital clock on the white table, it was just 1:16 AM. He ran his hands through his air and came down from the bed.

It's been a while since he had nightmares, the last time had nightmares was the night before his tenth birthday. It was really a traumatic experience because it felt so real.

It made Adrian detest and dread the dark and anything associated with the dark, Adrian immediately put on the electric lamp close to him before leaving the bed.

He took a look at the bed before walking into the bathroom to get his face washed. He scooped water to his face from the running tap thrice while breathing hard.

He could hear the sound of someone crying and at the same time sniffing, "Isn't their rooms made up of soundproof?" He walked out of the bathroom, trying his best to trace where the sound was coming from.
