Adrian stared at Rosa and Mason, his face as blank as a fresh sheet. Shock overwhelmed him and his mouth opened, surprise stealing every word he thought to utter.

“Rosa..?”

Mason looked at his wife a bit taken aback. Rosa didn't hide her own surprise as well.

“Oh you two have met already?”, Mr. Jackson said, glancing from Rosa to Adrian.

“Um…have … have we?”, Rosa said, turning to look at Mason for support.

“Maybe in the supermarket or something?”, Mr. Jackson asked. “Or did you already pitch your idea to his department?”

Adrian just stared dead into her eyes, a thousand emotions flooding through him. Mason reached for his wife's thigh and touched it strongly, trying to signal her. Rosa turned to him sharply.
