Rosa was quiet all through the drive.

“Babe”

She turned her face to the window not wanting to respond to him.

“Babe”, Mason said to Rosa again. Still no response. The driver eased the car into the compound and parked in front of the house so they could both get down. Rosa didn't even wait for the guard to help her with the car. She flung the door open and steeped out, stomping all the way into the house.

Nancy was in the living room and Rosa stomped past her without even as much as a greeting.

“Dearie…”, Nancy tried to call out to her but she was already upstairs, taking the turn to the right.

Mason soon came after.

“Good day ma'am”, Mason greeted, first shocked but then instantly annoyed that the woman was around.

Nancy didn't acknowledge his greeting. “Whatis the matter with your wife? Did you two have a fight or did you do something to upset her?”

“I … I'll talk to her Mum”, he said, getting past he quickly, headed for his room upstairs.

Nancy scoffed. “You had better”
