Meanwhile, for the rest of the day, Adrian was in a bad mood. In annoyance, he'd ordered his personal assistant to cancel the only appointment that could have kept him busy for the rest of the day, considering that he'd previously cancelled the orders.

Tired and upset, he instructed his assistant to make arrangements for him to get home. In less than five minutes, she'd come back to tell him that the car was ready.

“Sir”, Shilla said softly, tucking a strand of her black hair behind her right ear. “The car is ready to take you”

“Great”, he said, putting down the magazine he was reading. He tidied a couple of documents on his desk and put them into his briefcase roughly. Shilla attempted to take it from him but he stopped her.

“Leave it I'll….”, Adrian had to take a breath before he continued, this time in a lower voice.

“I'll take care of that. Thank you Shilla”
