“I don't understand.”, Nancy said, a shocked expression on her face. She stopped the makeup artist from dabbing on her face.

“Hold on”

“He said he was here for the shareholders meeting. Did you invite him?”

“I … I'm not even…”, Nancy paused. “Somebody get me Elsie!”

Within minutes, Nancy was walking hastily down the passage where the conference room was. She took a look at herself in the big mirror on the wall just before she got into the conference room. Elsie was behind her, eyes on the files in her hand, checking if they were complete.

“Get the door, Elsie”

Elsie looked up, quickly realizing that Nancy was waiting for her. She got the door and Nancy Dalton walked in, catwalking elegantly to the head of the table where her executive chair was. Adrian was seated already, focused on the presentation being done by the company's sales manager.
