Audrey came to Bethany field, her mind weirdly captivated by the glow of the beautiful evening sun. She was at the higher point of the slope field and she let her tote bag slide out of her arms, taking her seat on the grass.

Soon enough, she had to take her eyes away from the sun. She lay down, letting her head rest on the soft grass, dandelions floating out as she did so.

Tranquility. That was all she felt.

Peace. She could almost hear it.

The kind of tranquility that was unsettling yet soothing. Disturbing yet calming. The kind of tranquility that brought you unexplainable tears, that allowed over thinking and let all the voices flow freely in your head.

That was it. That was it overwhelming her.

She hadn't meant to take it on Vanessa. It was never about the boy even though she didn't exactly like him.

She'd lost Grandma's pendant necklace to Ethan, flopped her test and had almost ruined a relationship today - if not already ruined.
