“Come on Jamie”, Lilian said, carrying her son off the carpet where he'd been crawling. With her free hand, she took up the baby bag and walked up to the receptionist.

“Mrs…?”

“Miss Lilian Felters”

The receptionist looked up to be quite sure she'd seen the child.

“Oh.. okay”

Her eyes darted to her computer, the keys of the keyboard making the constant tap sound as she typed. Lilian adjusted her postition as she stood, doing her best to pacify the toddler and be patient.

She was about to say something when the receptionist looked up.

“I’m sorry, I can't find you on my system. Who are you here to see?”

“Mr. Leonard”, she said, her accent slightly coating her words. “Mr. Leonard Grayson”

“Mr. Leonard?”, The receptionist asked sarcastically, an unbelieving expression on her face.

“Yes, Mr. Leonard”, she said in the calmest voice, ignoring her sarcastic tone.

“Well, I'm sorry ma'am but your name isn't on the system meaning there is no booked appointment for you with Mr. Leonard”
