They all exhaled and trailed the doctor to his office, with different questions bugging their minds, Martinez was the only one who stayed back. When he noticed they had all gone into the doctor's office, he asked the nurse standing by the door if he could see her.

"Sure, but she is resting, don't disturb or touch her," Martinez nodded his head and walked into the room, where she was lying on the bed, with different instruments, wires, and machines connected to her body. Martinez felt bad, his conscience immediately pricked him as tears strolled down his eyes.

He couldn't help but sob as he walked to the bed,

"I am sorry Madeline, I didn't know it would lead to this, I am sorry," he quickly brought out his handkerchief and wiped his tears when he heard the footsteps behind him.

He turned and found out it was Audrey, she remained quiet as she stared at her mum, and when tears started streaming down her eyes, she took off her medicated glass, so she could wipe away her tears.
