Lidya rode a horse along the paved road that led to the Main Family Mansion. After months of studying in the city, she had finally returned home. She missed her hometown, the towering mountains, and the greenery of the grasslands that spread across the country. However, her mind was filled with worries about what might have happened while she was away.

After a while, Lidya arrived in front of the large wooden gate guarding the Main Family Mansion. She slowed down her horse and stopped in front of the gate. Lidya saw Louzen, the family caretaker, who was waiting for her in front of the entrance.

"Louzen, what's going on? What are you doing here?" she asked, lowering her foot from the stirrup.

"I was waiting for you, Madame Lidya," replied Louzen, in his characteristic low voice. "I need to tell you something important."

"Let us enter the house," Lidya said, leading her horse through the gate.
