Chapter 45: Another Slap

Of course Kagern couldn't just slap Alistair. Yeah! The young man had almost killed him and had added insults instead of apologizing. However, Kagern was not raised that way. Violence was not his thing.

That's why he only sent Alistair's father their address and waited for him to come and slap him himself.

As for Alistair, he had kept quiet, and was now sitting on the ground, shaking with fear.

When Tharn approached him, the young screamed in fear that it made every person passing nearby turn their heads.

"What's wrong?" asked Kagern.

"I thought he was gonna slap me."

Kagern couldn't just brush off the fact that Alistair had almost killed him and didn't apologize. He didn't make him feel pity at all.

But then again, he understood that he was really frightened and decided to comfort him.

"Don't worry!" he said, patting him on the shoulder. "No one's gonna slap you. Unless your father does it himself.”

Alistair was on the verge of crying. He looked Kagern in the eye and said, "Plea
