A Rare Opportunity

[Malcolm’s POV]

As we headed to the teachers office, I wondered what he could want from us.

Yes me and Emily might have gotten carried away in our argument, but it wasn’t anything too serious for me.

And besides, I practically left her speechless.

I had to put her in her place, she was getting too cocky and proud.

Which is why when I saw a window of opportunity in the mistake she made, I took it.

I knew she wouldn’t roll over and just take it, and I was fully ready to drag her with it, and boy was it a blowout.

Everyone in the class was already talking about it, and now, as we both walked behind the teacher to his office, there was only silence between us.

She didn’t so much as look at me, and I felt awkward at first, but soon, I accepted it.

When we finally arrived at the lecturer's office, he opened the door and asked us both to sit at his desk.

There were two seats and we both sat on one each, while he sat across from us.
