Right there, in front of the class, was Malcolm Shade. As he walked he was greeted by almost every student in the class, the guys would give him handshakes and fist bumps, and the girls giggle loudly anytime he walked past their seats.‘Ugh, this is disgusting,’ I thought to myself, and I rolled my eyes in irritation.I couldn’t see what the entire fuss was all about, he was just another person. He began climbing up the stairs and soon he came very close to where I was seated, and I scanned him from head to toe.He wasn’t overdressed, he just wore a baggy sweatshirt, with some baggy pants and some shoes.Even though he wasn’t dressed to impress, I could tell that his clothes were high quality. However, his most attractive feature was his looks, he was stunning. His face was perfectly chiseled, and he had no spots on them whatsoever, his skin was flawless. He had medium length brown hair, which he styled perfectly, with some of it covering his left eye slightly. One thing was for sure,
[Malcolm’s POV]As we headed to the teachers office, I wondered what he could want from us.Yes me and Emily might have gotten carried away in our argument, but it wasn’t anything too serious for me.And besides, I practically left her speechless.I had to put her in her place, she was getting too cocky and proud.Which is why when I saw a window of opportunity in the mistake she made, I took it.I knew she wouldn’t roll over and just take it, and I was fully ready to drag her with it, and boy was it a blowout.Everyone in the class was already talking about it, and now, as we both walked behind the teacher to his office, there was only silence between us.She didn’t so much as look at me, and I felt awkward at first, but soon, I accepted it.When we finally arrived at the lecturer's office, he opened the door and asked us both to sit at his desk. There were two seats and we both sat on one each, while he sat across from us.The lecturer's office was a bright space with tall windows a
The main reason I came to Columbia university in the first place was to establish connections.I didn’t need school anymore, and I could drop out at the slightest provocation. So I had no other option than to accept the offer, and our lecturer was very pleased. After we both accepted he told us about some minor details that we would need to do.He gave us some forms to fill, collected some of our personal information and things like that.Soon we were finished and he dismissed us.He also collected our contact information and told us that he would be in touch. We both left the office, and I shut the door quietly behind us.Before she left, I tried to make some friendly conversation with her.“Well that was really something huh? I look forward to working with you.” I said and I didn’t get a response, she just stood there, looking away from me. She looked like she was thinking about something.‘Hm, playing hard to get huh? This should be fun,’ I thought to myself.“Listen, you may disap
I got back to my dorm pretty soon after that, and Tucker was right there waiting for me.“Malcolm! Where have you been bro? You just left without saying anything, are you okay?” He asked me, showing genuine concern in his eyes.“Bro, you were literally right there when the lecturer asked me and Emily to see him after the class,” I responded.“Oh, my bad. I forgot,” he said and laughed, and I rolled my eyes.“So what did he ask you huh?” He asked, there was some surprise in his eyes.“That doesn’t matter bro, either way get dressed, we have an outing. Do you drink?” I asked him.“Uhm, I’ve taken drinks here and there once in a while, so I guess. Why?” He asked me.“You want to meet some new friends right? And you want to get some girls, get dressed,” I said to him and laughed.“Hmmm, I don’t think I want to go Malcolm, I’m not really the type to get into social gatherings and stuff,” he said.“Just trust me on this, it’ll be fun, I promise,” I said.“Uhm, okay then bro,” he said and he
Soon after, we left the bar and began to return back to our dorms. It was around an hour past midnight, and everywhere was pretty dark, aside from the occasional flashing of street lights.Everyone was drunk except me, and as we said the goodbyes to the girls, me and Tucker were left alone. He was struggling to walk very much, and I could see this, so I decided to help him.I carried him piggyback, and made my way back to the dorm alone. He fell asleep pretty quickly, and I had to carry him all the way back. Thankfully, I had the strength, and so it wasn’t too much of a hassle.I was worried that the dorms would be locked, but fortunately, the entrance was open, and soon I found myself outside the door to our room.I opened the door with my key and turned on the lights.I placed Tucker on his bed and let him sleep, and then I began to take off my clothes, and retired to my bed.I took a shower before doing this, and when I was done, I lay face up on my bed, with just my underwear on.
I woke up with a smashing headache, and I felt terrible.I tried to move but saw that I was on a bed, and that one of my wrists was handcuffed to it, while the other had a cast on it.I looked around me and examined the room I was in.The walls were just plain white, floors too, like something out of a sci-fi movie. And there was the bed, all crisp white sheets and this thin blanket that barely kept me warm. There was also some basic furniture, a bedside table, a chair for visitors, nothing fancy.I looked around and saw all this medical gear around, like heart rate monitors, IV poles, and even a ventilator. There was also the tiny TV mounted on the wall, probably playing some outdated sitcom or daytime talk show. The fluorescent light overhead was like something out of a horror movie, casting its harsh glare over everything. There were also these flimsy curtains you can draw around the bed.As I looked around the room I finally relaxed back on my head, before the realization hit
I screamed and fell over from the chair I sat on, I hit my head slightly, and I groaned in pain.“Mr. Shade, are you okay sir?” I heard from the voice that it was a lady who asked me, I looked up at who was speaking to me.The woman who spoke to me wore a simple yet professional outfit, a collared blouse paired with a knee-length skirt and heels of sensible length. Her attire suggested efficiency and practicality, with no unnecessary frills or adornments, it was simply, yet smart. She had a friendly and kind demeanor, and her expression focused and determined as she leaned over me. She packed her long black hair into a ponytail which properly framed her face. Behind her glasses, her bright blue eyes sparkled with intelligence and determination, a testament to her dedication to her job.Despite the urgency in her voice, there was a sense of familiarity about her, as if we had crossed paths in the office before. “I’m fine Ms. Taylor, thank you very much,” I said and began to get up.
I woke up and raised my head from where I was resting.I touched every single part of my body to ensure that I wasn’t damaged.‘Huh, so it did work huh,’ I thought to myself.I looked around the building and discovered that I was still in the Moonwolf corporation.“Just as I expected,” I said to myself.Suddenly, I heard a voice behind me, but I wasn’t surprised.I knew this was going to happen, and I had figured what was going on out.“Shade, slacking off on the job again huh?” The voice said, and I turned and faced the person speaking.“I’m not slacking Mr. Moon,” I said with a confident voice. He stared at me for a while before walking away, saying nothing.I glanced at my watch and looked at the time, it was around eleven in the morning.I looked at the date as well, the 23rd of July.‘So it really is true then,’ I thought to myself.Somehow, the system had transported me back to my old life, precisely to this date, as this was the date I was murdered.I slouched in my chair and r
