The sound of applause broke Sophie's reverie. She clapped along with the ballerinas as they left the stage.

Meanwhile, the host returned to the center of the stage before praising the performance. Next, she greeted the guests again. She also announced the amount of funds that had been raised at the event, which was met with joyful applause from the audience.

"Now, I'm going to call on someone to make an equally exciting announcement for all of us. He is the financial manager of the Big Roodgroup company."

A bomb seemed to explode in David's head. The man suddenly turned pale!

"David, that woman is going to call you on stage. That's so awesome!"

"Honey, what announcement is she referring to? You didn't tell me anything earlier."

"Oh Sophie, your boyfriend is so cool. Out of all the guests, he was the one chosen by the host to come up. Not to put on a silly show, but to make a happy announcement! My God, David, you really are an important person!"
