A mountain miles away from Kiran exploded because of Gin's fireball. Along the way, the fireball left a crater that looked like a dry river.
The children jumped for joy while clapping their hands. Meanwhile, the three adults were speechless.
Gin didn't mean to blow up the mountain. He didn't even notice that there was a mountain there.
It was a shower of rocks and dust for a while. Gin's gray hair was covered in dust and small stones.
"Is anyone living there?" Gin asked hesitantly. He was more afraid that someone would die because of his actions.
Leogus took a deep breath, but it was just dust he inhaled. He shook his head weakly. Leogus took another deep breath and then shouted. "You're lucky it's a dead mountain. If it was a volcano we would have died already!"
"So nobody lives there, right?" Gin ignored Leogus' annoyance.
Leogus rolled his eyes. "No. The mountain is a den of monsters, no one lives in the vicinity."
That was great. Gin was very relieved if he didn't hurt anyone else. Even though in the end he would kill everyone, at least he would do it at the same time and quickly.
"Then, let's try again."
Gin gained a little confidence. He managed to make a fireball though more than he expected. That was a little better than nothing.
"Fireballs!" Another firefly was formed.
"Fireballs!"
"Fireballs!"
Gin paused. What made him unable to control his magic?
"Status open!"
[GIN]
[Title: Disaster]
[Ages: 20]
[Power: Unlimited]
[Vitality: 90]
[Magic stats: 4000]
[Mana: 380]
[Skills: Absolute Strength, Magic Resistance, Magic of Abyss]
[WARNING! YOUR DISASTER CORE HAS BEEN STOLEN!]
"Magic of the abyss. There must be something about it."
"What did you say?" Leogus interrupted. He heard Gin's insignificant muttering.
"I have the magic of abyss. There must be something—"
"Why didn't you tell me earlier? You wasted my time!"
Leogus sighed. With large, hasty steps he walked away. "Follow me!"
Gin looked at Gargan but she just shrugged. They had no idea what Leogus was thinking.
Gin and Gargan followed Leogus into a forest outside the Kiran. The trees grew so thick that the sunlight covered them with leaves. Leogus cast balls of light to light the way. This place was very different from Kiran which was currently very hot. The cold air stabbed bone. Every time Gin breathes, white smoke came out of his nose.
Leogus took out his sword, he cleared the bushes that were blocking their path. On the right and left, Gin could see the bloodshot eyes of a lurking beast. But those animals, or monsters, were smart enough not to offend him.
"Are you sure this is the way? It seems like no one has ever gone this way."
"I came here fifty years ago."
Gin forgot that fifty was a very short time for elves. Gin suddenly remembered something.
"Fifty years ago, wasn't Gerald still here?"
"Yes. I went with him. There!"
Leogus pointed at a well. Vines filled the side of the well. Leogus pushed open the well cover, scorching the vines with the fire he had made.
"Your magic comes from the abyss. Since it is not an abyss, you will have a hard time controlling your magic here."
"Is the abyss some kind of hell?"
"I'll explain later. Now, go down, get some water from this well, and drink it! Whatever happens, don't come up before you control your magic!"
Gin raised his eyebrows. He looked into the well. It was too dark and he could barely see the water.
Gin hesitated. What if the water was poisoned? But he guessed a disaster like him wouldn't die that easily.
"Why isn't there a rope here? We can take it on a rope." There were no ropes or anything used to fetch water.
"No. This well is the gate to the abyss. The rope will burn as soon as it touches the water."
"Then what about me?"
"You said you have the magic of the abyss!"
Gin had no other choice. He suspected this water could help him control his magic.
Reluctantly, Gin entered the well. He stepped on the ladder in the well made of rock crystal. The rock crystal didn't burn even when it came into contact with the water, but it was very slippery to step on.
"Be careful, My Lord!" Gargan cheered from above. Her voice echoed into the well and almost made Gin slip.
Holding on to the rock crystal, he touched the water with his hand. He waited for a reaction. No fire burned him, so it should be safe. He took some water with his palm and drank it.
It tastes very salty like seawater. Gin took it again and drank it once again. It was very torturous on his tongue.
At first, nothing happened. After a few minutes, his throat felt hot. It was like something got stuck in his throat and he couldn't breathe.
Gyuuur!
He slipped and fell into the water. Gin's hands were flailing around him. He could swim but his throat was still choked.
"My Lords!"
Gin could hear Gargan's screams from above. Her voice sounded increasingly low as he slowly sank into the water. There was something that strongly pulled him into the water. He tried to kick whatever was under his feet. Gin's hand reached up, but it was no use.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed his wrist. Gin thought it was Gargan. Maybe she was desperate to help him. After all, they were tied and Gargan should be fine in this water.
However, when Gin opened his eyes, he saw two fangs in front of his face. That was not Gargan.
Gin spontaneously swam away. But the creature's hand held him down. Blue lights surrounded him, making the creature's face even clearer. Not just one, but there were six around him.
They have golden eyes with white irises. Their heads were like humans but their faces were like fish with two long fangs. Their bodies also looked like mermaids. Their blue hair fluttered in the water.
"Kiiiiiiiik!"
They let out a very painful squeaky sound.
Gin was nearly out of breath. He tried to remove his hand from the creature. But its grip even strengthened and made him bleed.
As his blood mixed with water, their golden eyes suddenly turned bright red. This was not a good sign.
[Welcome to the Well of the Abyss]
[Do you want to continue?]
[<YES> <NO>]
Six ugly mermaid-like creatures surrounded Gin with glowing red eyes. Gin had time to think about hitting them, he could still do it in the water. He could even break the mermaid's hand that held his wrist. But his instincts told him to be quiet, even when they made him bleed. He shouldn't hurt them no matter what.A screen suddenly covered his view.[Welcome to the Well of the Abyss][Do you want to continue?][ ]Gin fell silent, almost out of breath. He had been drinking water from this well as Leogus had instructed, but he wasn't sure if he could control his magic. It was worth a try. As long as he felt stronger than them, he could beat them if he was threatened. He chose Yes.[Automatic adaptation is enforced][……][Now you can breathe and talk underwater]Gin did not feel anything different. He tried to take his breath slowly. He could breathe, as if there was air in this water."I can talk." He was amazed by this unique ability. Never before had human technology been a
Queen of the Darkness didn't look dark in the slightest. She was glowing in the light. It was a contrast with other rooms that didn't get any light. The Queen looked kind with a pretty smile. She didn't have fins, fangs, or anything hideous. Gin almost thought she was human if it weren't for her gray skin. She swam with smooth movements as if she was floating in the middle of the room. She circled Gin then stopped in front of him. Right in front of him, so close that their chests were touching."You don't look like a human. What are you?" She asked as she brought her face to Gin. Their noses almost touch.Gin gave a cold stare, her beauty didn't affect him in the slightest. "I'm here to control my magic. Tell me how!""Oh, what a cold creature. You make this water freeze." She joked while pretending to shiver.Gin didn't react, he was silent as a statue. The Queen touched his shoulder, and with a very seductive smile, she said, "Then have a time with me. I will teach you magic."Gin r
It might sound cute, but the first thing that Gin remembered when he saw a mermaid was bubbles. Rose liked the fairy tale about a mermaid girl who turned into a bubble for the man she loved.Since the sirens looked like mermaids, why didn't he make them bubble too?The other bubbles exploded one by one. The narrow tunnel was filled with explosions and collapsed sides. Gin used this opportunity to swam backward, pushing the sirens behind him who panicked. He could have hit them all in the water. But he needed to ensure that his magic really worked better here. And it was true."I don't even have to say anything!" Gin was amazed by his own magic. He only thought about the bubble destroying the tunnel and less than a second later it actually happened.Gin entered the pitch-black city. All the sirens looked at him with surprised faces. Meanwhile, five sirens confronted Gin by forming a line."Stop!" Each of them carried a trident as a weapon.Gin sped up his movement, swimming toward them
It was a diamond that was shaped like a fish scale. It shimmered with the light of the golden treeHe thought the object he was looking for was more abstract. Maybe like a magic ball that could float around. He didn't expect that he was looking for treasure all along.Gin took the scale from the box. He lifted it high to get a better view. It looked expensive but ordinary. What should he do about it?He put the scale to his chest, just like when he absorbed the dragon's core. Nothing happened and no notification from the system. Gin was irritated by how the system never gave him clear instructions.Should he eat it? Gin took the scale to his mouth, but before he could eat the scales, his body flew up and crashed into the wall. The side wall of the room was destroyed, and some wall hit his body. Gin brushed it away easily. In the opposite direction, he saw the Queen lifting a giant black stone with her magic. The rock flew towards Gin and again knocked down the wall.Gin was fine but t
Intense pain assaulted Gin. It felt like thousands of knives were stabbing him from the inside, tearing his skin and trying to get out. It hurt so much that he couldn't open his eyes. Then a feeling of nausea and burning heat was felt in his chest, rising to the throat. Gin spat it out but nothing came out. He coughed, the burning feeling had disappeared a bit but he was still short of breath. The relief only lasted a few moments. After that, his heart throbbed very violently. The pain that made him want to die.Gargan could understand the pain, but she didn't feel it directly. She panicked and was confused when she saw her master fall to the ground. Meanwhile, Leogus was still calm even though his forehead was furrowed.Gin's heart felt like it was bounded by a rope and pulled together, squeezing it until it was almost crushed. Then there was a cracking sound from all over his bones. Gin was sprawled in the middle. He couldn't move as his bones started to break one by one.“Aarrggh!”
The old man came back to life. Not only that, his body was young and fit again like the last time Gin saw him with Gerald. He was indeed that general who first fought Amenus. No one could say anything because they were too shocked, not even Gin himself. The old man sat watching his muscular arms. It was like a dream for him. He was almost carried up into the clouds and then pulled back to Kiran."I-I'm alive!" He exclaimed happily. His young legs were jumping and dancing."The high general is alive!" Everyone cheered together.Happiness overtook them. They didn't say it but their admiration for Gin grew higher. He not only saved them from Amenus but also raised the dead."If the world ends, I'm sure Lord Gin will revive us in a new world." Their faith came to such a conclusion. While they were having fun, Gin stood up. He looked down at his hand. It wasn't just about happiness for him, this was the breakthrough he needed the most. His eyes were shaking and he forgot how to breathe. Wi
Gin remembered the story of the princess who was kidnapped by Amenus. He wasn't focused on details because there were too many crimes that Amenus had committed and the oracle only showed him in flashes. Now it made more sense. That elf princess was kidnapped by Amenus, meaning they were in the same place. If Gin found her, he would also find Amenus and his core. But then what? He didn't need to be told, Gin would definitely go after Amenus. Why did that elf princess have to bother seeing him in the system? If he had met her while capturing Amenus, he would save her without prompting. What the princess did seemed useless. However, Gin did not close his eyes if there were other things he might not know about. Maybe she brought the core.Gin massaged his head. It felt like something was missing here.“Where are she and Amenus? You should know that, right?"'I don't know! He is somewhere I can't reach.'Gin didn't think the oracle was lying. The last time he asked about Amenus, she answer
"Where's everybody?"Gin's spirit vanished. Looking from the magnificent fortress, this city must be very rich. Moreover, upon entering, Gin was immediately confronted with the market. A city like this should be the main route of commerce. But where were the residents?Gin stepped into the city. He walked with Gargan, just the two of them. The lamps were still on even though the sunlight was above them. Yes, lamps like modern ones. This city used electricity like on Earth. However, the houses still looked like they were from the 1800s. This city was much more modern than Kiran.Gin walked around the market right in front of the gate. All the food was displayed on the table, like a seller about to open their shop. Likewise, with fruits, even cattle were allowed to roam.Gin approached a shop that had a lot of fried chicken on the counter. The food looked like what he used to eat when he was in the orphanage.Since the food was not spoiled yet, it must not have been cooked long. This pl
