I took another look at my magic spell list and did a thorough search so that I didn't miss a single spell. After five minutes of meticulously searching, I have now confirmed that I have no offensive magic.
"I told you. You weren't blessed with any offensive magic," Terissa said.
"What kind of crap is that? I'm given a bunch of awesome magic spells, yet I can't have any offensive magic spells? How am I going to protect myself?"
"Maybe if you come back inside the house, you'll figure something out eventually. I'm just your guide, and I don't have the power to answer you beyond my expertise," Terissa said before shutting herself down.
Ugh. I have the feeling that my life here would be like a roller coaster.
Ever since that dragon incident, I haven't left the manor in a while. I was afraid I'd get attacked again, so I've been cooped up in the house for almost a week. It wasn't that bad, though.
Terissa mentioned that the manor has a massive library where I spend most of my time. If I want to get out and explore, I must learn something to protect myself.
I saw a few spells that I knew would help me, but they didn't work when I tried them. I don't know if there are any special methods to use the spell, but to find out, I'll have to ask some people because the books here weren't helping me. The problem with that is my fear of going outside.
"Your blessings were only for defensive spells. You don't have any offensive spell, but if you are smart enough, you'll find a way," Terissa said, and I felt like she had something to say but won't tell me.
I'm not really a people person, but staying in an empty mansion alone isn't healthy. I'll likely lose my mind if I don't get out of here, but I'm afraid that I'll get out of here and get attacked again.
Honestly, I shouldn't be afraid since I have pretty high stats, but even so, I could've been killed by the dragon if I didn't act like I did. I'm not sure if I can do that again. Plus, I can't use any magic to fight. I can only protect myself, and that's it.
With my creative hand skills, I could create and replicate things, but besides that, I was basically just some very defensive magician. This is starting to get ridiculous.
That's it! I'm leaving.
I get out of my room and go all the way to the front door that leads to the outside. I placed my hand on the doorknob, but my hand didn't move. I tried to open the door, but my hand wouldn't bulge.
Come on!
I just decided to leave this place, and my body tells me no. Man, this is getting nowhere.
I sat on the floor and started to think, and then an idea popped into my head. I need bodyguards! Something like golems but doesn't vanish and will remain by my side! Then I can go outside without the fear of getting attacked. Wow! I'm a genius!
"Took you long enough to figure it out," Terrisa decided to show up again and talk to me.
"Well, hello there, it's been a while since we last talked," I replied, mentally rolling my eyes at her.
"I was trying to make you think of a possible way for you to survive," she said. "And I'm glad you finally thought of it. Congrats."
Ugh.
"So, what now? Maybe you can tell me everything I need," I told her.
"This house has a secret. Rumors say the last owner of this house slain the famous Fenrir and an evil Deity named Hel. He then took their souls here and condemned them here," Terissa said.
"Why? Why would the owner do that? I know Fenrir and Hel. They were famous in my world. Did they exist here?"
"Yes. It has been a thousand years since Fenrir and Hel created havoc. And the owner was the only one who stood up against the two and slain them. The owner sealed them here so they won't be reincarnated. It was a grave mistake, of course. Fenrir and Hel were the reason those evil creatures hid themselves. But when the two disappeared, well, all hell broke loose," she explained.
"Oh, so basically, Fenrir and Hel were evil creatures that were feared by other evil creatures too?"
"Yes. And the good thing is that you can summon them and create a body for them. Once their soul binded with the body you created, you will become their master," Terissa said.
"Sounds good!"
"Yes. They can be your offensive magic wielder."
My eyes bulged when I heard what she said.
"Awesome!"
With what Terissa suggested, I then headed toward the lab. I found the lab accidentally when I wandered around the house.
I used to be fascinated by the human body when I was in high school. I used to carve or paint back then. But when I turned adult, I had to do much work to pay bills. I hope coming here will bring my poor life back into my old world.
I'm a working adult, but my appearance changed when I was reincarnated here. I mean, I looked like a nineteen-year-old body again. I used to be a twenty-seven-year-old man, but I guess I aged backward a little when I got here.
It doesn't bother me that much. The good thing is I'm still an adult.
I don't really know much about this world, but I shouldn't be worrying right now. I have to make a body for my future bodyguards.
"Do you think I have all the ingredients I need to have, Terissa?" I asked my guide.
"Yes. You have them stored in your storage box. For starters, you have a magic core. That's all you need. You have the replication skill, so all you have to do is think of a body that will suit Fenrir and Hel," she replied.
"So what does a magic core use to?"
"They will act as the body's fuel and color. You can only replicate them but don't have the skill to make a living human. The magic core can also be their source of life. You have to prepare their body first, and I'll teach you how to fuse magic core with the body."
I started to replicate two human bodies, one male and one female. I knew Fenrir was a wolf male and Hel was a female."Do you think these bodies are worth Fenrir and Hel?" I asked Terissa while inspecting the bodies in front of me. "Yes, as long as those bodies will withstand their magic power. It will be alright when the magic cores are planted within them," she replied. "Alright, I think the bodies are ready to be planted," I said before withdrawing two red sphere-like glowing stones. "Woah, are these rubies?""Nope. But those are the most expensive cores in this world. Now, you must replace the heart with those magic cores. Once you plant it, the cores will know what to do," Terissa said. After listening to Terissa, I immediately wore gloves and picked the scalpel to make long wounds on the chest of each body. First, I removed the heart of the woman's body and replaced it with one of two cores. As I place the magic core, it molds into a heart replicating the one I remove. After
"Lower your pride, will you?" Hel finally drilled some sense into Fenrir's head after an argument. "This human gave us a chance to live again. You should at least thank him. You're free because of him."Fenrir looked fierce. He and I went into full battle using our eyes. And in the end, he lost and sighed. The two agreed to call me a master. And I did a full study of their bodies. "I need you two to do a few things so that I'll know if something is wrong with your body. Get up."My bodyguards then got up, with Fenrir mumbling something. I give them a few orders like walking, running, and even jumping. So far, there's nothing wrong with their bodies. Although the bodies were just replicas of humans, I'm not sure if they don't have any defects. I inspect them carefully. The skin wasn't ripping, so that's a good sign. Although Fenrir's body was electrified, he didn't acquire any wounds. "Is your body hurting or something?" I asked her. "No," he answered. "That's good," I told him.
So far, so good. We've been walking for a while and still haven't encountered any enemies. This is good. If this keeps up, we'll find a town, and possibly I could see an Adventure guild there. We were currently walking through a rocky plain and hadn't found any towns or villages yet. How long are we going to keep walking? It's good that I have maxed stamina, but it gets boring and mentally tiring. I wonder how Ace and Violet are. I took a look at them, and they appeared to be fine. Since they were both strong monsters, they didn't get tired or bored and looked the same. "Say, Terissa, if these two monsters were powerful, how powerful would they be?" I asked Terissa using Telepathy. "You should try checking their stats. You'll be able to use it like what you did to the dragon," she replied in a tone like, 'Omg, are you serious? You should have done it beforehand' manner. I used my appraisal sight and almost peed when I saw their power and skills. Ace and Violet overpowered me an
The village, towns, and cities are under the protection and watchful eyes of King Lockheart. The chief told me that each nation was protected by Aristocrats or royals that each God appointed after the war, and each nation was created and established. Those titles have been passed down from generation to generation. Since we were at Lakota Nation, we were in the King's territory. I was also informed that each ruler has been at odds with each other, and sometimes they battle each other. Yeah, I better stay away from that. I'll have to look at a few spells to help me prevent getting caught in the crossfire. And also, there's another thing I want to avoid, and I want to keep my abilities to myself. If people found out how I can do the things I can do, there's no doubt in my mind that I'll be used as some tool. I'll also have to ensure no one knows about Fenrir and Hel's true identity as the missing Celestial. The chief had told me the Gods of any nation don't want any other Celestials
When everything was ready, we left the village and headed to Redhorn Town, the closest town to this village. I acquired a carriage which I bought at a cheap price. It was broken, but I fixed it and upgraded it to last longer.A storage box was convenient for the horses and me since only the three of us were riding on them, and didn't weigh too much. During the trip to Redhorn, we decided to stop for the night and to prepare our dinner. "What's for our dinner?" Fenrir asked if he saw me preparing the folded table, I had pulled from the storage box. "Oven-cooked pork belly," I told him."Woah! Sounds tasty. How long will the cooking process take? I'm starving," he said. I could practically see saliva on his mouth. "I don't know. The usual pork in my world usually takes an hour to cook, but I don't know about the boar's pork here," I replied, pulling off the oven I replicated from Earth's typical oven. I upgraded it a bit, and instead of plugging it into any electric outlet, I fused
When Fenrir said he'd bring me tons of what he hunts, he didn't joke. There were huge deer, snakes, birds, bears, and oversized ostriches. The other pilled carcasses were pig-like creatures with two hands and feet. I don't know what it is, but I have a hint of what they were. The last pile was a huge wild boar with different skin colors and tusks. "You can sell what we don't need, but the meat will be ours," Fenrir said before lazily riding on the carriage as Hel, and I loaded the carcasses inside my storage box. After that, we finally started to move again. After a few days of traveling, we finally made it! It took us forever, but we finally arrived at Redhorn Town. As we approached the town, I noticed a watch tower that must have been used for scouting out intruders. We got to the entrance of the town and were stopped by guards. "Identification papers, please," One of the guards asked me. "I'm sorry, but I don't have any. I only got some permits here from the village chief," I
I told Ace and Violet not to attack anyone unless they were harmless or I could handle the enemy. The problem is I just remembered that I had to tell them not to attack in front of people as it would gather attention not only to me but to them too. Since Hel acted on her own, she smiled at me with a wicked smile. "I tried to restrain my strength," she told me with her oddly slit eye pupils. She blinked and changed it to normal human eye pupils. On the other hand, the drunkard got a broken arm while limping toward me. He held his broken arm with his non-broken hand and cried in pain. Everyone who saw this was in awe. I didn't want to cause a scene, but look what happened. So much for low-key defensive magic users, huh?Although Fenrir didn't do anything, I heard grunting and saw he was holding his wound. I need to check on it before things get worse. I dragged my bodyguards away from the scene to the nearest Inn and ordered a room. The receptionist offered us class A, probably an
As I entered our room, I found Fenrir lying down, burning hot. His face becomes pale, and it looks like he has a fever. "What happened?" I asked Hel, who was trying to cool Fenrir down. "He has been complaining about how painful his body was. I tried to massage him, but it got worse, Master", she replied "The infection may have been spreading, and the magic core inside him was trying to heal him," Terissa said. "Quickly, the magic core doesn't have any ability to heal, and you must create one now before everything is too late."I agreed with her and started to create one. I grind the pearls into powder and mix it with some nocturnal lotus oil I have found in the wild while we travel. I poured a bit of mint essential oil into a test tube and mixed it. I don't have any experience when it comes to creating healing potions, but all I need to know are my ingredients' properties, and I'll know what to do. I woke up one day. I already knew about creating something useful, which comes in
