The Demon's Proposal

The mission briefing was brief and to the point. Aria was to infiltrate a rival organization, gather information, and report back to the mysterious figure. She was given a code name and a false identity, and was told to leave immediately. As she left the room, Aria felt a sense of unease. What if she failed? What if she was caught? But she knew she had to try. The fate of the cause depended on her success. She took a deep breath and stepped out into the night.

As Aria walked down the dark street, she could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that she couldn't tell anyone about the mission, not even her closest friend, Athena. But when she arrived home, she found Athena waiting for her at the door.

"Where have you been?" Athena asked, her eyes searching Aria's face. Aria hesitated, unsure of what to say. "I...I was just out," she said, her voice trembling. "Out where?" Athena pressed. "I went to look for Darryl." Aria said, lowering her eyes.

"And did you find him?" She asked curiously and anxiously. "Not at all." Aria lied and entered.

Darryl stood before Hugo, his eyes blazing with anger. "Who is this figure that has given me and that lady this mission?" he demanded, his fists clenched. Hugo regarded him with a calm expression, his gaze steady.

"I cannot tell you that," he said, his voice firm. "You must trust that I am acting in your best interests, and the best interests of the cause." Darryl's face contorted with frustration.

"How can I trust you when you won't even tell me who this person is?" he asked, his voice rising.

Darryl charged through the dark streets, his anger driving him forward. He had to find the figure who had given him this mission, and confront them. He pushed aside anyone who tried to stop him, his mind a blur of rage. He reached the building where the figure had given him the briefing, and he barged through the door, ready to do battle. But instead of finding the figure, he found only an empty room. He stood in the center of the room, his chest heaving, his breath coming in gasps. Where was the figure? Where had they gone?

"Are you looking for me?" Darryl heard a voice. He turned around but he saw no one.

"Come out you coward!" He growled angrily gnashing his teeth.

"We are both devil. Note that," The voice continued. Darryl closed his eyes and let out his dark aura, he listened to the voice clearly trying to figure out where it came from.

He headed northwest and gave a ton of blocks blocking him from seeing the figure. He tried to run, but he drew him back and knocked him to the floor, he removed the mask on his face and thrust his long finger nails into his chest. He was almost, but he used his last strength to grab Darryl's neck.

Darryl struggled to break free, but the figure's grip was like iron. Darryl felt a searing pain as the figure's fingers dug into his chest. He cried out in agony, his vision blurring.

And then, he felt a strange sensation, as if his very being was being torn apart. He looked down at his body, and was shocked to see that his features were shifting and changing. He was becoming someone else.

As the transformation finished, the figure removed his hand and rolled back. Darryl looked down at himself, and realized that he now had the face and body of the figure

Hugo stood in the darkened room, his heart racing. He had watched the whole scene unfold through a hidden camera, and he couldn't believe what he had seen. The figure had somehow transformed Darryl into a replica of themselves, and Hugo was at a loss to explain how it had happened. He had never seen such power, and he was both afraid and intrigued. Suddenly, the door to the room burst open, and Darryl stepped inside. Hugo's eyes widened as he saw the figure's face staring back at him. "What...what have you done?" he stammered.

"I am not the figure you knew," Darryl said, his voice sounding strange and distorted. "I am something more. I am what you might call a changeling." Hugo's mind reeled as he tried to process this new information. A changeling? Was that even possible?

"What do you want?" he asked, his voice trembling. Darryl's eyes glittered with malice as he stepped closer. "I want to show you what true power is," he said. "And then, I want to destroy you."

"There is a way to undo this," Hugo said, his voice gaining strength. "But you must follow my instructions precisely. Do you understand?" Darryl considered this for a moment, then nodded. "Good," Hugo said, his eyes narrowing.

"The first step is to understand that you are not the figure you were before. You are now a new entity, a changeling. Your old memories and experiences are gone. Do you understand?" Darryl nodded again. "Good," Hugo said. "Now, you must focus on your new identity. Concentrate on who you are now.".

As Darryl concentrated on his new identity, he began to feel his mind and body shifting. He felt a strange tingling sensation, as if he was being stretched and pulled in all directions. He closed his eyes, focusing all of his energy on this transformation. Suddenly, he felt a surge of power, and he opened his eyes to see that he was once again in his own body. He let out a sigh of relief. "I did it!" he exclaimed. Hugo smiled.

"You did indeed. But it will take time and practice to master this ability. You must continue to train, to become more powerful. Also, if you're in danger you can switch to your other being so that your enemies won't recognize you and lose their trail on you." Hugo advised but Darryl was listening to none of it.

"I can never be in danger. With their amount of power I have, I just need to practice some little cultivation to establish myself fully." He replied bravely, Hugo chuckled.

"That's very brave of you to say," Hugo said, a hint of amusement in his voice. "But even the most powerful being can find themselves in danger. You must be prepared for all eventualities." Hugo warned him once again. Darryl scowled.

"I don't need to be prepared for danger. I am Darryl, and I am invincible." Hugo shook his head.

"That kind of arrogance will only lead to your downfall. You must learn to be humble and accept your limitations, if you want to truly master your power." Hugo bolted in a commanding tune.

Darryl was not convinced, but he decided to humor Hugo. "Fine," he said. "What's the next step?" Hugo smiled.

"The next step is to learn how to control your emotions. You must learn to keep a cool head, even in the face of great adversity. Only then will you be able to truly harness your power." Darryl crossed his arms over his chest.

"That sounds like a lot of work," he said. "What's the point?" Hugo sighed

"The point is that you cannot be the person you want to be without mastering your emotions." Hugo explained as he walked away back to his own apartment.

Darryl stood still, his mind spinning with all that Hugo had told him. Finally, he spoke. "What's the next step?" he asked. Hugo smiled.

"The next step is for you to confront your deepest fears," he said. "You must face your greatest fears, head on. Only then will you be able to truly master your power." Darryl swallowed hard. He was not sure he was ready for this.

"What if I can't do it?" he asked, his voice trembling. "I will be here to guide you," Hugo said, his voice calm and reassuring.

In the council chambers, Everett, Athena, and Aria sat at the table, their expressions grim. The room was heavy with tension, as they discussed the news of Darryl's return. "This changes everything," Athena said, her voice tight with fear.

"We must act quickly, or we could be in serious trouble." Everett nodded, his eyes narrowed.

"We cannot let Darryl gain any more power. We must take action, before it is too late." Aria shifted in her seat, her brow furrowed. She was trying to tag along with them.

"What do you propose?" Athena asked.

Everett looked around the table, his face determined. "I propose we send out scouts, to gather information on Darryl's whereabouts and his plans," he said. "We must learn everything we can about him, so that we can prepare a strategy to stop him." Athena nodded.

"I agree," she said. "But we must also be prepared for the worst. If we cannot stop him, we must be ready to defend ourselves, at any cost." Aria's eyes widened at Everett's suggestion.

"You mean war?" she asked, her voice trembling. "Yes," Everett said, his voice grave.

In the midst of the council's heated discussion, the door to the chamber flew open, slamming against the wall with a deafening crash. The three members of the council jumped in their seats, their eyes wide with alarm. And then, they saw him. Darryl stood in the doorway, his eyes burning with rage.

"Hello, my dear friends," he said, his voice cold and tinged with menace. "I hope you've been having a pleasant discussion. But now, it's time for me to take the floor." He growled and moved closer to them.

The council members sat frozen in their seats, their eyes fixed on Darryl. He surveyed the room with a slow, calculating gaze, a smirk playing on his lips.

"I know what you're thinking," he said, his voice smooth and deadly. "You're wondering what my plans are. What I intend to do next. But I think you'll find that my intentions are not as you expect." He paused, letting the tension build. "I have a proposition for you," he said. "One that you would be wise to accept. I promise you, it's in your best interest."

"We are listening." Everett mumbled trying not be a coward.

The words hung in the air, heavy with unspoken threat. Darryl's eyes burned into the council members, boring into their very souls. They could feel his power, his control, and they knew they were in his thrall.

And then, he spoke again, his voice low and commanding. "I will spare your lives, and those of your families, if you swear allegiance to me," he said, his eyes glinting with dark promise he would renege from. "I will give you power, riches, and glory beyond your wildest dreams."

"What happens if we turn down your request subtly?" Athena asked. Suddenly, Darryl started growing horn. His dark aura was becoming dangerous to adapt to.

"Then bloodshed would fill the city, I would take over your system and use it against. You won't be able to stop the war that's approaching you." He growled for the last time and he dissipated like a smoke.

"He's not just a devil, he's a demon." One of them uttered in great fear. "But it's not over until it's over, we have summon Moloch since they are both demon's."

The fight will become competitive and tough with Moloch...
