'I see you've moved on' I said the stupidest words before I had an ounce of control over my mouth. Anyways, I kept my head high, acting like I wasn't myself, astonished at how blatantly the words got off.

'Excuse me?' he rhetorically mentioned, his concentration stuck on me.

I went on, very much aware this conversation will cost me earnest regret later. Perhaps, the four extra glasses of alcoholic wine I gulped down before coming outside is starting to already taking effect. I breathed heavily.

'Isn't that a woman you ended the call with seconds ago?' I scoffed, shaking my head mockingly.

'So what? How is that a problem to you?' His question didn't come out harshly.

'You've moved on now?, you're seeing another woman. You're so unconcerned about finding answers to questions you have in mind?'

He cocked his head. 'Make me understand you, Lauren' He icily demanded.

'Don't you care about your mum also? Don't you want to meet her again? Ask her why she left you in the first place?
