My heart skipped a bit when I saw her lying on the bed helplessly. She had a blank stare, her facial features showed how much oblivious she is of her surroundings. I stealthily walked further into the room then placed the plates of pancakes on the bed side table. She made a twitch in reaction to the sound.

'Damien? Is that you?' she asked, her hands carefully searching around to feel. She furrowed her brows when I said nothing.

'Dora?' she tried again.

No response.

She sat up, leaned her back on the bed frame. 'Are you mad at me for not eating the pancakes?' she sounded sincerely sorry. 'I wanted to but I can't seem to find the appetite. I'm sorry for disappointing you' she added.

Her aura, movements, atmosphere was enough for me to sense how distressed she is at her current situation. I denied myself the press to feel sorry for her. She wouldn't want that, especially from me..
