'Boss. The car is ready. We should head to the warehouse now'.

I gently placed my pen on the desk, closing the pages of the magazine I was reading.

'is it supposed to be today?'

Brian stared in astonishment. 'It's been four days already. You were supposed to meet him for answers to your mother's whereabouts yesterday but you were at Miss. Lauren's home. I couldn't bring myself to remind you about it at that moment.'

'Why?'

'Because you made it clear you wanted no disturbance'

'Ohh' I mouthed, remembering I did tell him so.

'How about the dinner coming up at home. When is it supposed to take place?'.

'In two days, sir. I suggest we also head to the warehouse right away' Brian mentioned again, probably sensing the reluctance I gave off. Although, the scarred man was the last clue to finding my mum's whereabouts, it's obvious he wouldn't succumb to blowing off the truth about my mother's whereabouts.
