Cornered In The Dark:

The party ended at 1am in the early hours of the new day. Amanda saw Leonard and Mary off to the parking lot.

"You didn't have to come out here, Amanda. There are still guests in the hall, " Mary said with a smile as they walked towards the car.

" Well, I'm not complaining, am I?" Amanda raised a brow cheerfully.

The reason she had followed them out was because of Leonard. He was an esteemed customer at their bank so she couldn't let him go out of the hotel without a proper escort.

" Leonard, once again I apologise. "

Leonard waved his hand indifferently. " You don't have to, okay? It's not your fault that some people choose to look down on others and be stupid."

Amanda heaved a sigh and nodded. Leonard was really a good man and if everyone was like him, the world would have been a better place.
