Chapter 10: Disbelief

Alex woke up from his dream, kissed his beloved wife on the pillow, and got ready for work. "I love you." He said to her, Mary murmured as an answer. 

Alex could not help but feel a special feeling inside him. So long he had longed for this peaceful and happy life.

"I..." The moment he was ready to say something, his phone rang, interrupting him.

A voice that was both clear and pleasant could be heard coming from the phone.

"Good morning, boss, where are you?"

As soon as he heard it, Alex immediately identified Kelly's voice as the one speaking.

 "You mentioned that you might be interested in paying me a visit today. I'll provide you a location update shortly. If I see that you are quite busy right now, I promise I won't bother you." Kelly added.

"Alright. Please send me your current location." Alex terminated the call by hanging up.

"What's the matter? Is there a pressing need for that?" Mary asked.

"Yeah, an employee of my team needs me now. Honey, I'm sorry but I can't be with you. Call me if you need anything." Alex stated.

Mary nodded as she responded, "Alright, I'll phone you at the lunch time."

"Okay, I'm going to head off then," Alex said while cracking a grin.

"Wait, is your friend male or female?" Suddenly, Mary frowned and questioned in a concerned tone.

"What?" When Alex heard her question, he was completely taken aback.

"It's of no consequence. You are free to leave now." Mary went away.

Alex was lost in thought for a short while. When he finally understood why she had asked that particular question, he smacked the top of his head, "Honey, you need not be concerned. You are the only one I adore."

"Get up, get moving, and go take care of your business." Mary gave Alex a wave when she was facing away from him. She was unable to conceal the charming grin that was on her face.

At this same moment, Alex was already in possession of the location that Kelly had supplied. Alex was taken aback after taking a more thorough look at the situation.

The reason for this was because she resided on the same estate as the Smith family. It's only a couple of blocks away at most.

The door opened just as he was ready to give it a knock on the head to get someone's attention. Then, before his eyes, a flawless face materialized before him.

She was beaming with happiness despite the fact that she was dressed in a seductive black nightdress. "You're pretty fast. Could you kindly come in?"

Kelly was the only person who occupied the enormous villa throughout the day.

"I have coffee, milk, and juice in my possession. What do you want?" Kelly had a question.

"Sorry, but I'm not really thirsty right now. Let's get right to the business of putting the deal into action." Alex stated.

"Have you always been able to do your tasks in such a short amount of time?"

Kelly blinked her eyes.

"Well, isn't it true that the sooner you do things, the better it is?"

It's a good thing to get things done quickly, but in order to be a man, you need to take a little bit more time to do specific work. Kelly spoke the words in a cheeky manner.

Alex hacked up some dry mucus. After hearing Kelly's hint, he experienced a moment of mild embarrassment.

He was unable to recall the length of time that he had gone without doing it. He was never given the opportunity to find out how long he could hold out for.

On the other hand, he did a respectable job of it while he was performing it with his first love.

"Do you not need to make any preparations at all? Are you satisfied with the model? Or something else?" Kelly didn't try to hide the uncertainty that she felt; instead, she just expressed it.

Kelly couldn't help but feel a little uneasy about the situation because Alex had arrived without bringing anything with him. What exactly was he intending to show her to prove his point?

"Don't worry about anything; I have everything stored in my head, and everything will be made apparent to you very soon." Alex said while cracking a grin.

"I have my doubts about how you would be able to execute this. Do you truly think that just by using your hands you can? Let me just pick my computer." It was understandable that Kelly would have reason to be suspicious. However, she trips and hit her back causing her injury.

"Ahhhhh" she screamed out loud as Alwx quickly rushed over to assist her.

Alex went over to help her. He had accurately identified her injury immediately he got there. Kelly was hopeful that he could help her become better. She had landed on her back resulting in back injury.

"You have a back ache. It's fine, you just need to lay down while I help you massage it." Alex immediately assured Kelly, "All you need to do is locate a spot where you can lie down and get comfortable."
