Chapter 6

Cindy and Fanny were very nervous. They were silent, but their hearts were noisy. They already knew about the Brown family's downfall, and the news about the two of them accusing Julian had spread.

"Mom, what are we going to do? Uncle Doris won't accept this?" Fanny spoke while moving her feet repeatedly.

It was a very unlucky day. Her life changed. He thought it would get better. Instead, she fell further.

"You think mom knows too?" Cindy stomped her foot once. This was so annoying, and now she was afraid of getting a call from the Murphy family. They would definitely scold them and be at the bottom of the pile.

"Mom, how did the Brown family go bankrupt like that? There wasn't any news before?"

Cindy didn't know either. It felt strange, but she didn't know what caused it. The downfall of the Brown family was certainly bad for both of them.

"Do I have to see Frederick now?" asked Fanny nervously. She had picked up her cell phone.

"You idiot, don't call him!" Cindy shouted. She quickly grabbed the cell phone, restraining her son from doing anything stupid. "Don't ever think of him as your fiancé again, Fanny. You have to find another man. Otherwise, this will only be a mockery for us."

"Then what about the child in my womb?" She held her stomach.

"Just abort it. Do you want to live a hard life!"

Fanny shook her head stiffly. She had to listen to her mother's words and get rid of the thought of Frederick, who was no longer useful to her. The child in her womb, she would abort it. Meanwhile, Cindy must find another man for her daughter.

Julian looked at his mother's necklace. He was relieved to have taken it back and placed it carefully in the wooden box. He closed it and immediately saw Adam, who had been beside him.

"Keep this in a good and safe place, Adam."

"Biak, Master Julian."

Adam immediately did Julian's orders. It didn't take long before Adam returned while bringing coffee for his master. In this study, Julian looked at reports because it had been a long time since he had forgotten about the Silver family. He had completely shut himself off from any news on the Silver family.

"How did Keith die?" asked Julian coldly.

He didn't care about his brother because Keith treated him badly. The man was so envious that every time Julian got a perfect score, he would try to claim it was his. Half a year ago, Julian had to leave home because of Keith's slanderous words. He won't forget that even though Keith is dead.

" Master Julian, Master Keith did die by accident. But that's very strange, you must know that life in Oldcity is wild. Although the successors are always kept secret, they can still get information."

Julian nodded. He knew that and had heard it during family lessons. It's just that Keith really likes to boast about himself.

Julian put down the document in his hand. Some assets actually belonged to the Silver family. But they were hidden. Because to prevent people from knowing about Julian.

"I'm leaving now, Adam. If I need anything, you should prepare yourself."

Julian stood up and looked at Adam coldly. He passed the old man casually after taking the car keys he had previously requested. This time he wasn't going to drive a Rolls Royce. He would use a simpler car to come to the company casually. He enjoyed the weather quietly until he finally arrived at the first company, a subsidiary of the company he would manage. It was in a suburban city and didn't look well developed.

"So, they built a shadow company?" Julian smiled faintly at the effort made by his father.

He quickly got out of the car and took a look at her surroundings, which were very busy. Many workers passed by, and then a man accidentally bumped into her.

"Can't you use your eyes?" He snapped at Julian, then seeing Julian's calm response, he became more guarded. Maybe the man in front of him was a great man compared to him, and that was dangerous.

"You're the one who hit me, walking without looking properly."

Roman didn't like the man in front of him. He didn't see because he was welcoming an important guest and was busy making phone calls so that he wouldn't make a mistake.

"I'm in a hurry. Just so you know, a great man is coming here. He is the manager of this place and the leader here. Do you work here?" Roman asked Julian. He noticed his clothes, which were quite neat, and Julian might have also worked here.

"No."

Roman became more cynical towards Julian. He had also seen the car Julian was using, a simple car that was even cheaper than the one he was using. That's what Roman thought. In fact, although Julian's car looked simple, it was a special output and very valuable in the eyes of people who understand cars.

"Then you shouldn't be here. This is where people work, and you have no business here."

He was even rougher than before, and Julian noticed the man. He was walking differently to meet the person he said was petting earlier.

"I remember Adam saying that the leader of this place has yet to be determined. Who dares to claim to be the leader?"

Julian spoke silently and followed the romance until finally, he saw who the person was who dared to speak like that. Julian observed from where he stood, and the corner of his right lip rose slightly.

"This place is going to be my workplace. It's great that I have such great contacts."

He was on the phone with a big voice, and the arrival of Roman, who was already in front of him, was completely ignored. He just wanted to show off what he got.

Julian had met the man, and he loved to laugh at Julian, one of the men who was a friend of Fanny's cousin. Igor was a man with a big body and voice who liked to talk nonsense.

"Igor Harris, you were never even in the running to be appointed here," Julian spoke in a small, quiet voice. He walked over to them, and Igor turned to look at Julian with a sardonic look.

"Julian!" he opened her mouth wide. He quickly put his phone in his pants as the conversation was over.

He stared at Julian with a moderate look on his face. Roman was surprised to see that. If Igor knew the man who was yelled at earlier, had he made a mistake?

"Sir, do you know this man?" Roman asked, remaining cautious. He had to find out first and then adjust his actions accordingly.

"Of course, I know him very well. I know him well." Igor said with a slight laugh that made Roman even more confused by what Igor had said.

"I know him because he's very famous!" Igor pointed at Julian, who was standing in front of him, which made Roman interested. Julian was indeed a great person; if so, he should apologize for what he did earlier.

Roman prepared to bow to apologize, but he heard Igor's voice again, which stopped him from doing so.

"He's a useless son-in-law in the Murphy family, oh no! Now you're not a son-in-law anymore, but you're still a useless figure. Right?" asked Igor to taunt Julian.

"Useless?" asked Roman, still confused. Their social lives were so different that he needed additional information.

"He is more worthless than trash. He doesn't work and is just a parasite to his wife. He's so poor and wretched." Igor looked at Julian, and he smiled slightly.

"Then did you come here to ask me for a job?" asked Igor arrogantly. He made Roman nod his head. Roman thought he was the leader here whom he had to obey and look after.

"Asking you for a job?" Julian laughed. He looked at Igor and found this very funny. "I would never ask you for a job, Igor. You are a narcissistic and deceitful person."

Julian's gaze became sterner than before, much to Igor's surprise and anger. His blood seemed to boil because the man who had been under him dared to reply to his words arrogantly.

"You stupid son of a bitch!"
