Chapter 5

They were dumbfounded by what Julian had said. Then they burst out laughing. It was a joke.

"You're very good at talking! Anyone can make up the name of this necklace as they, please! You're a dreamer!" Frederick snapped at Julian while wiping his tears.

"You're the one bragging about making up this name. You can't even afford it."

"If Frederick can't afford it, you certainly can't. You don't have any money. Four months of marriage with you is so humiliating." Fanny defended Frederick, he was the greatest man Fanny could get, and it would greatly help her.

Julian didn't care about Fanny's ramblings. He mocked with a calm smile. Making Fanny doubt who had never faced Julian like this.

"Hey! That necklace is really called Sky Tear!" Someone shouted, his eyes looking very focused at his cell phone screen. Because of the sound of his shout, three people who really disliked Julian stared at him.

"Stop falling for his lies. This is a sapphire, just like Frederick said. My future son-in-law bought it." Cindy didn't want to get a bad name. Besides, a poor man like Julian should leave here immediately and be afraid to go to jail again.

Now she was acting very annoying. Cindy's friends, who had been inside the hotel, came out. They looked at Cindy, who was smiling stiffly.

"So, what the useless son-in-law said is true?" asked one of the spectators who had been there all along.

"I told you that this necklace is mine. And they stole it." Julian held up the necklace and showed it to them all to let them know that it was indeed a sky tear.

"A poor person like you can't have it. You're obviously a thief. You're trying to fool everyone. You're a disgrace, Julian." Fanny did not accept the words she heard from others. Although she knew that her mother had taken Julian's necklace, she did not want to admit it.

"I didn't cheat. You guys are the ones trying to cheat. Even the name of this necklace needs to be corrected. I even have proof that this is my necklace."

Julian was satisfied that he had come here full-handed. He had prepared something for them, and it would avenge his heartache. The crowd here was a good thing. The Murphy family name would be tarnished because of the people in front of him.

"Hahaha! You're so good at bragging. If you prove you're the owner, I'll kowtow to you and beat myself up."

Fredrick felt he had the upper hand. By saying such things, people would recognize his courage and think he was the real owner. Julian must have no proof, and he could win this gamble.

"Alright, I accept that."

Frederick raised his hand. He was attracting even more attention. "If you can't prove it's mine, you'll be in jail, and before that, I'll beat you to death!" She smiled slyly. The satisfaction in her heart was so great, even just as she imagined Julian begging her for mercy.

Julian remained calm. Since they had already agreed, Julian waited for a few seconds that seemed so long to Frederick.

"You're not going to prove it? Now you're scared to get your punishment?" asked Frederick loudly.

"He's obviously scared, dear. He's a hobo who has nothing." Fanny rolled her eyes. "You'd better catch him and beat him up now." She looked at the two security guards who started moving.

But a well-groomed man walked between them, then stopped. He took off his sunglasses and smiled at them, instantly knowing who it was.

The old man was Sirius, a very famous man in the diamond and jewellery business with fantastic prices. Adam was the one who told him to come here to prove that the letter he had was genuine. Of course, he needed someone whose credibility he recognized.

"Mr. Sirius! Why are you here?" asked Frederick in surprise. He tried to approach Sirius because he was so excited. This could be profitable for him.

"I came here because I was invited by someone. Aren't we going to prove whose necklace it is?"

Frederick stopped approaching her. He looked at Julian, who was looking at him calmly. He had been feeling strange about Julian, and he knew now that it was all because Julian had prepared everything. Fanny and Cindy looked slightly panicked, but they managed their expressions well.

"Mr Sirius, this is the proof of ownership that I have. This is my mother's." Julian handed him the letter that he had been keeping under his coat.

Sirius took the letter and read it carefully. He nodded once and made everyone very curious about what he would say.

"This letter is genuine. The rightful owner of Sky Tear is Mr Julian." He said it in a big voice. It could be heard by the people who were there. They all looked at each other and made noise.

"No, that's not possible! It's mine!" Cindy tried to influence them, but people remained silent and did not defend her.

"Do you think I'm a fraud? I've checked it myself, and it's genuine. I guarantee it with my name!"

Hearing Sirius' words, Cindy immediately fell silent. She did not expect to be humiliated like this in front of everyone. People looked at her sarcastically, and the women from the socialite group.

"She's such a disgrace. How could she try to steal from a useless ex-son-in-law?"

"Very embarrassing."

Cindy looked down, her legs felt heavy, and she finally ran from there. Fanny immediately chased her mother. She was also very embarrassed to be here. As for Frederick, he also almost ran, but Julian immediately stopped his footsteps.

"Do your apology." She said coldly.

"Wh-what? Why would I apologize to you, you useless man." Frederick was still acting arrogant, even though he lost the bet. Who could make him bow before Julian?

"I know that you don't hold your word. That's why you'd better pick up your phone now."

Julian raised one eyebrow and looked down at Frederick's pants pocket, his cell phone was ringing, and it was ignored by Frederick, who was acting like he was confident.

"It's none of my business whether I pick up the phone. You better worry about yourself, you know. I'm going to destroy you later."

Frederick touched Julian's shoulder, his low voice threatening Julian. But instead of fear, Julian smiled.

"What about the project with the Silver family?" Julian asked quietly.

Frederick was immediately surprised. He looked at Julian, who knew about it. He approached the Silver family, trying to get a little project from the most wealthy exit in Oldcity, but it was a secret move. There was no way Julian could know about it, making Frederick a little hesitant in acting.

"H-how did you know that?"

"You will be very sorry for being presumptuous with me, Frederick."

Without doing anything, Julian managed to pressure Frederick. He backed away from his position. The sound of his cell phone still ringing finally made him pick up the phone.

"Frederick! You stupid kid! Our family is ruined because of you, and our businesses are ruined because everyone we worked with pulled out!"

Frederick heard his father shouting, but he couldn't answer anything. He was so shocked that he could only stare at Julian, who kept staring at him.

Before Julian left, he immediately told Adam to do something. He asked the old man to destroy Frederick's family. He was too arrogant when his family was not even among Newcity's top 20 wealthy families, so Frederick would definitely not take action as Julian wanted.

Adam always did his job well. He really knew when to act and when to finish. Julian's belief in him was right. Now Frederick's face was as pale as rotten tofu.

"What do you mean?" Frederick finally spoke.

"We're broke. What have you done to make everyone unwilling to cooperate with us!"?

Frederick didn't know, he thought everything was fine but why was it ruined like this. When he looked back at Julian, the man was smiling, and he finally knew that this could be related to Julian.

He observed Julian and just realized Julian was wearing an expensive suit. He also got out of a Rolls Royce car, maybe... Maybe he had offended the big man that was Julian.

"You must return our wealth! We'll be sleeping on the side of the road like this, you fool!"

The huge scream ended the call from her father. The phone fell to the floor. Frederick's body felt so heavy; one second later, he was running and grateful at Julian's feet.

"Julian, Julian! I'm sorry! I'm sorry for making fun of you!" she pressed her forehead to the floor.

He didn't care about the noisy voices that were talking about this. He must be able to make his family's fortune back.

"What did you do wrong?" Julian asked deliberately. ,

"I insulted you. I also slandered you and stole your necklace from the beginning. I'm sorry, Julian... please don't do that to me and my family."

Julian saw it under his nose. "Didn't you talk about beating yourself up?"

Frederick immediately raised his head, nodded, and then beat himself up like crazy. He even took a tonfa and hit it on himself. He kept doing it until his head leaked. He couldn't live a hard life.

With a bloody head, Frederick finally came to Julian. He knelt before Julian and looked at him with a pitiable face.

"Julian, I've done it... I broke through. You'll forgive me, right? Will everything go back to normal?"

"Of course not. I don't care about your life."

Julian turned around. He had picked up his necklace and was about to return. But Frederick couldn't let Julian go just yet.

"Julian, I'll give Fanny back! I don't need that woman. She's not as beautiful as I thought. I'll give her back to you!" Frederick shouted. He knew that Julian loved Fanny. This could be a profitable exchange for him.

Julian stopped his footsteps, he turned around, and Frederick looked pleased. He thought that Julian would accept his offer, but instead, Julian kicked him once in the head, and he fainted.
