Chapter Ten

The door bash open and Klaus was standing there, their heart kicked immediately.

Nobody has utter anything since Richard broke out the bet issues. their brain was busy calculating that they forgot that madman made a bet.

Now that they think about it, Klaus must've be possessed by a spirit so he saw the future. No wonder he was so sure about Clara winning but deep down they knew the truth.

this was a damn luck. ‘Shit!, why would luck pick a low life being, damn luck!’

they couldn't keep their balance so they sat down on the nearest couch, this was beyond death sentencing and seeing Klaus has arrived their body quiver more.

Mrs. Baker was the weakest one, how is this possible, she asked herself. She started to regret accepting the bet.

just when she was above the clouds, Richard words almost brought her six feet to the ground.

Klaus slowly steps to the crowds waiting in the living room, he spots Clara, she was confused, but her cheeks move seeing him.

he wonders why Clara was here, she was supposed to be home, his face squeezed a little. Mrs Baker must have brought her here to taunt her.

Klaus sighted Lillian and Alice. Dammit, Clara must've suffer from this two gabby.

Klaus winks at her before he pass her, it's over now, they won't taunt you anymore rather it's our turn.

Klaus stood in the middle of the crowds, they were speechless like they have been caught in a crime.

Klaus beaming face was irritating, but nobody had the courage to say anything. Klaus clear his throat then he said, “Seeing how ugly your faces are, you all must've seen the results” Klaus stares at Richard, he displays his teeth before he continues. “Clara won the bid” Richard face squeezed, Klaus words were triggering to him. Klaus step to Mrs. Baker, “Ma!, our bet”

Mrs. Baker lips moved but she couldn't voice out. Richard jumps in immediately, how can he let this rat bully everybody. “Are you saying mom won't fulfil her part of the deal” seeing Richard speaking out, they got their voice back, “Klaus!, who says we didn't remember your bet!” somebody side Richard.

Klaus smirked because he wanted them to panic and agreed more to the bet, now that everybody was saying they remember the bet. Klaus finally let out what initial wanted to say.

“Clara Will be given the CEO without delay, nobody will ever disturb my wife about marriage and lastly” Klaus stares at Richard and Mrs. Baker then he said. “My child becomes the sole heir of this family, these are content of the bet, I hope I didn't change anything” Klaus burst out, “Did I, did I!” he laughed looking at Richard.

Richard tightens his fist harder.

Damn this cabbage. how dare him mock the entire baker family, has he forgot his place, a scavenger must remain a scavenger.

Klaus you are digging your grave.

Richard wished he could smack Klaus seeing Klaus wasn't giving up on his beaming face.

how dare this trash laughed the baker family, even the youngest in the family is richer than Klaus.

what a disgrace.

Klaus was getting on Mrs. Baker skin, she has been silent because she still can comprehend everything but seeing how Klaus is taunting them, she has to say up after all she is the Lioness of this clan nobody voice is supposed to be above hers certainly not this low life being.

“Enough!” Mrs. Baker roars, everybody stops to listen to her words, they were curious of the decision Mrs. Baker has taken.

A leader must not go back on their words but if it lets the clan to destruction it's better to be a coward.

Mrs. Baker got the silence she wants, she then said. “I won't go back on my words and I never gave it a second thought, everything will be fulfilled according to the deal!” Mrs. Baker words caused earthquakes in the room.

how can Mrs. Baker say such a thing. klaus is a scavenger, he has never done any significant thing to the family yet they are giving him such a worthy price.

Richard couldn't hold his voice any longer.

“Mom. You can't do such anything, Klaus scavenger from us, you can't make—” Richard lost track of what he wanted to say, Alice blocks Mrs. Baker, she deserves an explanation to everything.

“How can Clara becomes the CEO, mom this isn't fair, you are giving Clara the CEO post just because of some stupid reward!, it isn't charity!” Everybody were firing their words, Mrs. Baker can't do such thing.

“the Baker family isn't a charity group!” they roars.

how can a barbarian take the post of a genius.

Klaus smirked seeing the commotion around, he laughs in his mind, this people haven't seen anything yet.

This reward was giving to everybody but they doubt themselves why are they ranting now when somebody took a bold step and got the reward.

Klaus decided to irritated them more, “your Mom said it all, she is a woman of her words, a good leader!” Klaus was vibrating their body with his little words. They didn't a give shit about him now, all focus was on Mrs. Baker.

She has to change her mind for the sake of the family.

How can they raise their heads high, knowing that this cabbage child will inherit everything.

This is crazy.

Mrs. Baker stopped, everybody thought she has changed her mind, but it seems Klaus has caught her in a spell. “Let celebrate our success, arrange for party” she told Richard.

Richard move his lips but the words didn't fall out, they were laughing when Klaus was making the bet, nobody knows luck will shine on him.

What kind of damn luck is this.

Richard knew his mother, she is irritated deep down, but she can't change her words.

“Yes mother!” Richard gave up on changing Mrs. Baker mind, at least not now, there is always tomorrow.

Everybody was shocked Richard has fallen.

Lillian and Alice looked at Clara in disgust, Clara position skyrocketed with just one word while they struggle to get here and even made unpleasing decisions.

Klaus wasn't done taunting them, when he saw Richard have accepted fate, he said.

“Everybody should work hard now!, my child is going to inherit everything, so give it your all to push the family fortune forward and Richard you should start calling me elder brother!” Richard jammed his teeth together, one more word from Klaus, and he will lose it on him.

Stupid being.

Klaus step to Clara, she has been silent the whole time, Klaus holds her hands then said. “I don't need to work again Clara, our son will inherit everything!” some family members lost it. “Shut the crap Klaus, last time I remember Clara hasn't given birth so you are still below us!” others joins in. “Get your a*s out from here, you rotten cabbage!!”

“how dare you speak nonsense!, you can't be compare to the youngest of the Baker family!” Klaus laughed then said,

“yes I can't be compare to the entire Baker family because I am higher!” Klaus words burns their heart, they wanted to go punch his teeth out.

Klaus smirked at Clara,

“let leave this jealous people to their frustration!” Klaus guides Clara to the exit.

“You! Bastard, shameless being!” Richard roars.

Klaus and Clara came outside, Klaus saw the puzzle look on Clara face, she was supposed to be happy, so he asked. “What is the puzzle look on your face, tell your husband, so he can fix it” Clara looks at Klaus, his voice was different, even when facing the family, it was filled confident like he had nothing to lose.

Clara speaks up because of Klaus stares, she didn't know if this will cause deadly tension.

“I…think they made a mistake. That not my bid” Clara quickly hold Klaus arms tight, if the family found out Klaus will be heavily dealt with.

“Let come up with a plan before they fix it or run away!, let run away!” Clara quickly brings out the things she was thinking.

once everything is fix, Klaus will surely be kick out and her family will force her to marry God knows who.

Clara doesn't want that, it's better they ran away to prevent calamity.

She looks at Klaus face, wondering why he hasn't said anything.

“Klaus—” Klaus covered Clara mouth, then he said. “You think too much. Ricky's company is a big company they can't make such mistake and besides they have uploaded your picture on their social media page”

Clara heart kicked, she quickly check her phone to confirm Klaus words.

she read through it, they were calling her a rare gem.

Clara didn't know what to say, but she knows there was a little tweak in her bid.

Klaus saw Clara wasn't settled even after checking the post, so he decided to say. “Maybe the CEO saw how incredible your work is, so he decided to tweak it a little” Clara looks at Klaus eyes, “can he” she said.

Klaus taps her shoulder. “Yeah, it's very possible” Clara knows fully well such a thing is not possible and besides she didn't use connections, why would the CEO do such thing.

her brain flash to when Klaus said he works at Ricky company, could it be Klaus pull the strings.

she kicked the thought away immediately, there is no way Klaus will have that type of connection and besides Klaus just started working there.

Clara wanted to give it more thought, but it was getting confusing, so she decided to let it go.

Maybe the CEO really saw how incredible her work is.

Klaus saw Clara has finally agreed his words, he wanted to calm her down more. “Don't worry my wife, if anything happens we will go with your idea” Clara cheeks moved,

‘I thought you were 100 percent sure, crazy boy’

Klaus smiles seeing Clara nodding to his words.

They entered the taxi waiting for them. Klaus told the taxi to wait behind when he entered the Baker villa.

He has already planned to take Clara out for clothing. She has to look stunning on the banquet.

Clara is now the CEO, she above everybody class, it's time she changed her wardrobe.

The taxi stopped. Clara looked around, she was shocked to the bone, she thought they were going home, why would the taxi stopped at Jay Jay luxurious clothing store.

Clara quickly turn to Klaus, “look where we stopped” she said trying to convey laughter, but she was dumbfounded when Klaus didn't buy it. Instead he paid the taxi driver.

“Klaus what are we doing here” Clara asked since it seems they were in the right place.

Klaus smiles and said. “To buy something”
