Chapter Three

Klaus ears moved, his eyes tears out, he was surprised this man wasn't the boss here, he was already scared by this man presence, but he wasn't even the king.

Klaus swallow his saliva, his situation just got critical and what is wrong with the young master anyway.

the men staggered back with fear, their body was shivering as they gave Klaus some distance.

The old man finally calms his face, he said to Klaus.

"Young master" he was finally close to Klaus. Klaus looks around, there was nobody here except the hefty men and him.

he gazed to the old man looking worried, who is he talking to. He shook his head back when he saw the old man kneeling in front him, his eyes were wet. He cried out immediately.

“Young master, forgive me. I was ignorant to let this baboon do the job” he bows his head.

Klaus was shocked, his heart was pounding like a hammer, his ears were drifting about.

When the men saw what the old man did, their legs collapse to the ground, Klaus turns hearing the sounds behind. He saw the men kneeling. Their body was soaked with sweat.

what is happening here.

“Spare us, young master, spare us” they quickly bow their head on the ground. Klaus was like a statue in the middle of worshiper.

“Forgive young master” they cried out, their body shivered more seeing Klaus wasn't saying anything.

The old man grab Klaus hands, Klaus turns to him. “Please young master, let me deal with them myself” he raised Klaus hands up, Klaus stood up from kneeling, the old man stands up too. He looks at the crying men on the floor.

“You must be dealt with” he barks. Klaus was still in shocked state, he couldn't find the words to say, his mouth was sealed. His temperature was rising has the play continue.

“Please young master, let me lead the way” he takes Klaus hands gentle, he wasn't standing tall, he bows leading the way.

Klaus follows him silently, he couldn't help but look around, it was a palace, luxurious things at every corner, even the jugs on the table.

The man opened the door, Klaus walks in, it was a big office with documents at every corner. Klaus couldn't help but speak now.

“Sir—” he was quickly cut off by the old man.

“I am disheartened young master” he bows putting one hands to his chest.

“This wasn't the way I planned this event, I am butler to the Marshall family” he raised his head to look at Klaus.

"Your family" he said. Klaus froze again, everything was happening quickly, and it was getting difficult to process. This man was saying he is a servant in the Marshall family.

“Please young master” the old man points to a seat at the corner. Klaus seats on the armchair. He gazed to the man, he was ready to hear more incredulous story.

He only remains calm because he was sure this people mistake him for somebody else, so he has to play along before they noticed, he has planned his escape routes quickly, once this man is done talking, he will excuse himself then dash out immediately.

The old saw Klaus was relaxed now, he wasn't shocked anymore, he decided to proceed.

“Your family were the giant among men, famous and feared for their might” the old man raised his voice, it was filled with bolds and pride, he was sounding like a commander in the military.

“what happened?” Klaus asked, he plays his role perfectly. The old man gaze down, his sadness return because of the sad tone klaus asked that question.

“Your family was betrayed and….” he tightens his hands, he looks at Klaus, he shouldn't be like this in front of the young master, what will he think of him.

“The whole family was killed, it went down overnight” his voice was low filled with rage but the sadness suppress all.

Klaus inhale deeply, he adjusted himself on the armchair, this was getting complicated every seconds, he has to do something before he gets tied down to something that doesn't concern him.

Klaus wanted to use his excuse now but the old man was quick to words.

“You were young then, there is nowhere you will know how powerful your family was” he looks at Klaus, suppressing his emotions, he can't be weak in front of the young master.

Klaus stands up from the chair, this was getting alarming, he has to escape before it gets too late. What if they found the real person and this man has told him everything. Surely they won't spare him.

cold sweat drops from Klaus forehead, he was blaming himself now, he should have cried from the beginning that he wasn't the one.

Before Klaus could say anything, the butler intercept him again.

“The Baker's used to be followers of the Marshall family” his face was covered with annoyance. His blood was surging when he mentioned the name.

Klaus was paused, when he mentioned Clara family names, his brain did the math for him, they didn't get the wrong guy.

Klaus finally got his senses back, he step to the butler. “What do you mean” his face squeezed.

“Those baboons saw that night has a chance to step outside the world” the old unleashed his anger, he shouted it word by word.

“They took you with them” he bites his lips hard. Klaus suddenly felt his blood boiling. He was angry, even though he wasn't sure what the curse what.

this butler is saying he was kidnapped by the Baker. Klaus' mind wasn't stable.

“They snatched the fortunes that belongs to you” the butler said.

Klaus eyes widen, they took everything he had and still treated him poorly.

His heart was beating hard, his anger was surfacing quickly. They pretended to be the good guys, meanwhile they were thieves.

Klaus place his hands on the butler shoulders, his eyes were fixed on the butler eyes. He was asking for more.

“Those thieves thought they ate everything” the butler finally smiles, his cheeks went up a little. “They took a million from trillion” the butler walks to the table. He was beaming now. “Just a tip of the iceberg” he added, his tone has changed completely. He was glad he finally found his young master.

“I kept the majority of the Marshall fortune safe and intact” he smiles brightly, he was happy he was able to accomplish that, he turned to Klaus.

Klaus was like a lion looking at his dead prey. The thought that the Baker family has been living under his wealth, and they treated him as trash can burns his heart.

He turns to the butler when he successfully calm his heart.

The butler stood straight like the uniform men. He said.

“Klaus Marshall is the last surviving heir of the richest and most powerful family in the world” he stops to inhale then he continues.
