Chapter Four

The butler was anxious waiting for Klaus reply, he was beaming that this moment has come but at the same time his body was aching for the master words. Klaus was poker, he could see the expressions on the old man face, and he was still standing tall, Klaus sighs, his cheeks move up a little, the old man shook his head forward, he was wondering if that was a yes.

Klaus finally breaks the undying silence.

“What is your name” Klaus asked, he turns to look around the room.

“I am sorry Young master” the old man went on his knees quickly, how could he have missed that part, his heart kicked, he was the chief servant anyway, names doesn't matter but since the young master asked.

“Steve, sir.” he answered staring at the floor, he gazed up when he saw the Klaus feet's moving to him.

“Steve Jones” he said, his eyes widen when he saw the master stretching his to hand to him, Steve holds Klaus hands with both hands, he stood from the floor. He bows his head, escaping the young master gaze. He was frightened a while ago, touching the master's hands was the biggest award in the world. A dying wish.

“Steve. Do you remember why am the last surviving heir” Klaus wake him up from his traveling thoughts. Steve hesitated.

"Yes" he gazed down.

Klaus turns facing the door. “Then you Should know my answer” his voice wasn't soft or cold, but it has the aura of a Master.

“forgive me!, young master” Steve hurriedly said as the answer struck his head, Klaus was talking about safety, coming back will certainly cause some stirs and disorder and who knows, those monsters might be at the corner again, coming back at a high profile is threatening to the young master.

Steve tighten his fist, he was angry he didn't think about that, he was too excited seeing the young master.

“It's unsafe for me to come back at such a high profile” Klaus turns looking at him.

“I understand, young master” Steve bows 90 degrees. Young master is very intelligent, but he also has a lot to learn and learning will make him more perfect.

“What are your orders” Steve was still bowing his waist.

Klaus thought about it, right now, he was utterly confused but the rage inside him was pushing the words out, but he had a question that has burning ever since he believed this fate.

“what is the worth of the Marshall family” the words fell out. Steve cheeks move up, he stands straight again, he was beaming inside, but he dare not show it.

“few trillions” he stylish said. “They are all registered under your name” he finally looked at Klaus face, it was deadpan.

“Hmmm” Klaus touched his chin. He thought as much since the Steve said it before, but he was surprised a family net worth could worth trillions.

there was no way Klaus could run all the companies his family own, and he wanted to keep a low-profile, the best thing now was to get experience from managing few ones, so he clear his throat.

Steve raised his head up, he was ready to accept orders.

“Transfer a few large companies, and send some millions to a secret account under my name” Klaus waves his hands giving instructions.

“billions” Steve said, his teeth display, they were still shinning bright.

“No” Klaus intercepted, he didn't want an account with a billion dollars, that was crazy to him, and his heart won't be settled if he had a billion dollars in his account. Steve read his mood.

“Then, 999 millions” he said raising his shoulder up, Klaus wanted to say something, but Steve was quick with words.

“Orders has been received and will be done immediately” Steve knees on the floor, he knew Klaus was going to object to the money proposal but the soon he starts to live like a might heir the better for his growth.

Klaus inhales after Steve spoke those words, the wonders why he wanted to object it anyway, his family his worth trillions, yet he fears having just a billion dollars.

“Further request, young master” Steve was enjoying every moment, he has always wanted to serve the last surviving heir.

Klaus waves his hands looking away, that was all for him, he approached the door, he was already thinking about the clock.

Steve quickly take some flies on the desk, he strides to Klaus.

“Are these peanut satisfactory” he hands them to Klaus. Klaus gazed to the first one, his heart run around, it stops then it beats harder. The first was a 50 billion dollars company, named, Ricky Company.

Klaus eyes were too heavy to look the rest, but all was a billion dollars worth. He looks at Steve with his jaws slacked.

“These are the babies among the assets the Marshall family own, Are they satisfactory?” Steve looks at Klaus.

Klaus gaze front, he didn't give an answer, but his words were clear and written in Steve head.

Klaus reached the exist of the luxury mansion, he came out only to see the gorilla from before, their head was still on the floor, their body was soaked, and they were still shaking.

Steve frowns when he saw them. He stride to them. When they heard the footsteps, they quickly went back to their pleading.

“We are sorry Young master, spare our ignorant attitude” they cried.

“Shut your mouth!, Shut it up, you must be punished” Steve lashes out. The men cried more when they heard Steve words.

they roll on the floor like babies.

“Spare us! Young master, spare us!, we were foolish, please young master” they cried more.

Klaus stares at them, he has never been begged in his life, what will anybody beg him for anyway.

Seeing this made him feel guilty, his heart was softened, he was enjoying the play, but he can't keep it long.

“You are saved today!, tomorrow I won't show mercy” he turns facing Steve, his expression wasn't good.

“Wait for further instructions” his tone was completed different, it sounds mature and deep with threat.

Steve bows immediately, the men follow.

“Thank you!, young master” they all said.

Klaus nods, he approached the gate.

“Young master, please let me take you back” Steve approach Klaus quickly.

“No!, I will find my way back” Klaus didn't bother looking back.

“young master!” Steve suddenly remember he has given the young master his contact info. Klaus stops facing him.

“here is my card, contact me even if it's nothing” Steve bows. Klaus accept the card. “I will” Klaus continues his journey.

Klaus find his way out, he enters a taxi, there was one thing in his mind now. Home.

Klaus reached home, he stood by the door, he was stopped by the questions rampaging his mind. He was opened and he never hid anything from Clara before. He wonders why he was having a second thought about this. In end, Klaus agreed on one thing, Clara safety comes first in everything.

Klaus pushed the door opened, he was greeted by the anxious face of his wife.

Clara has been running around, her eyes have only been on the clock, Klaus wasn't back yet, and she was getting frightened.

“Where have you been?, it's late” Clara asked seeing the door opened. Her heart calms down when she finally saw her predicted was correct.

“Where have you been, Klaus?” she touched her heart.

Klaus couldn't help but smiles brightly, Clara was shocked by this expression, she hasn't seen Klaus display his teeth smiling.

“What is it” she came closer. Klaus massage his closed eyes, he said.

“I got a job”

Clara paused, her cheek slowly moved up.

"You what" she wanted to be sure of it.

“I got a job!” Klaus screamed at the top of his voice, it was loud and clear even the town could hear his voice.

Clara beams covering her mouth, she knew it wasn't from her Mother because she called her when Klaus didn't come back. for this reason, she was even happier.

“I will make dinner quickly, let celebrate” Klaus hurried pass his wife, she turns only to see his back, Klaus has done an impressive job, and she was delighted.

Clara was in a group call with her family, the Barkers, Klaus was about entering the room, but he stopped by the door when he heard the voices on the line, his eyebrows went down.

Clara has been listening, but she hasn't laid any comments, the barker family was drifting to a tight spot, the only way out was to get a big contract, Mrs. barker clears her voice, everybody sealed their mouth, Lady Barker was a terror woman and her words were filled with authority, she ruled the Barker family will this iron fist and nobody dare question her commander.

“Clara, we know about you are pregnant” she caught Clara unaware and everybody heard the shocked sound from Clara side.

“Abort the baby and leave that simian you call a husband” she used her authority voice.

"This is insane!" Richard spoke after his mother, “how shameless will that jobless man! be, he is so useless!” Richard made sure he stressed the word jobless.

“Klaus got a job” Clara sounded excitedly, that was the only thing her mom could use to taunt her, but now Klaus has blocked it completely.

There was silent for a while, lady Baker knew Clara wasn't the lying type, and she was surprised by the words, but she will deal with it later.

“His job won't be more than washing the toilet, cleaning the floor!” Richard fires immediately.

“What is Klaus job” lady Baker asked. Clara didn't answer immediately, Klaus didn't tell, but does it matter.

“Does that matter” Clara asked. Mrs. Baker hissed.

“Ain't you ashamed Clara, your husband doing a pit jobs, if you are not ashamed, I am ashamed, you brought that rat into this family!, that useless being” Richard roars.

“You should be ashamed! Of your yourself!” Richard wasn't giving spaces for replies

At this time Klaus hands were shaking, he tightens it suppressing his anger, the likes of Richard can never reach his feet.

“What is there to be ashamed of, last time you were nagging Klaus was jobless, now Klaus has a job—”

“Shut your mouth Clara, keep it closed” lady Baker fires cutting Clara off.

“When will you be relevant in this family, you keep disgracing this family!, I have had enough of it” she screamed a little.

“Mom please, pardon Clara, she is young and senseless with time she will understand how ignorant she was” Richard calms his mom down.

“Clara. Don't you want to see mama happy” Mrs. barker soften her voice.

Clara wasn't saying, lady Baker continues.

“Mr. Harold, he is rich and powerful, with one word, our family problem will be solved. Won't you want that for your family” lady barker gentle used her words.

“don't you want to be the hand that lift the family from disaster” she softly said. She was waiting for Clara response now.

“Mom, I won't divorce Klaus” Clara replied, immediately Mrs. Baker stopped.

“Damn you. You little witch” she holds her voice from screaming out.

“Mother leave Clara to her miserable life” Richard calms lady Baker down. She finally proceeds to reasons the call was made, The news has been blowing around that Ricky company has established a one billion contract on the market and every company are coming up with tactics to get a sliced from it.

This was a golden opportunity to Mrs. Baker, she couldn't wait for the family meeting, so she decided to do a group call and inform everybody, but immediately she mentioned it.

The place turned graveyard principles. Not even a breathing sound was heard. lady Baker was getting angry, she knew the Ricky company was a million miles ahead of them and the likes of them can never exist in the same world has the Ricky company but she was furious that nobody was willing to throw anything.

Mrs. Baker poured her anger out, “Whoever gets an offer will be appointed as the family CEO”

“huh?” their heart beat was heard from each side.
