Chapter 8

Just as they were having their family dose of pain and sorrow over Donald's fate, Andrew's phone rang.

"Your phone is ringing Andrew. You should pick it up". Elena said.

"It can wait, Elena, what's important now is you, right now you and your mother needs me and that's all that matters now. Every other thing can wait" Andrew said.

"No, just pick up the call it could be something important. We already have a lot on the table as it is" Elena insisted.

Andrew stepped away to pick up the call only to get the biggest shock of his life that the police had just raided his store and they had found a lot of incriminating evidence against him in terms of sexual scandals and illegal trafficking of drugs.

Andrew was shocked to hear the news, the drug business has always been a secret no one knew. the police who knew about it had always been tipped off about it to keep the secret. 

So how come they raided his store? All these questions ran through his mind simultaneously.

"No no…you must be joking they raided my store? how?, When? what's going on?" Andrew asked.

"Sir, you need to get here as soon as you can" his assistant replied.

"Okay, I will be there as soon as possible" Andrew replied.

As Andrew returned to Elena and Mrs Harrington, they could see the worry written all over his face.

"What's wrong? Elena asked.

"The police… the police, they just raided my store and they found a lot of evidence. I… I, need to go now." Andrew explained.

"Boss, the deed has been done. Mr Andrews's store has been raided and everything is being confiscated as we speak" Steven reported to Jared.

"You know I was thinking of what punishment to give Andrew before I found out about his drug trafficking business. It made the whole work easier for me. I will make him lick my feet and even do worse to him just as he treated me in the past"Jared said.

"I am sure he is on his way to his store now. Make sure he is arrested and taken to the location as planned" Jared ordered.

"Andrew tell me you are joking, the police raided your store? How?" Elena asked confused.

"I just got off the call now from my assistant, they are still raiding my store as we speak, I need to be there before they take that evidence to the station. That evidence could ruin my life completely" Andrew said with his voice shaking.

"Okay, I will go with you," Elena said.

"No, stay with your mum. Your mom and dad need you. I will be fine. We have a lot on the table like you said let me go and do this. I need to get to the store before the police take away the evidence" Andrew explained as he left the courthouse hurriedly.

Andrew saw that the police had packed up all the evidence just as they were about to leave his store, he drove in.

 "Please, there must be a misunderstanding. I will call you the commissioner of police and speak to him you must be mistaken" Andrew said pleading with the police not to take the evidence away.

"Mr Andrews, you are under arrest for sexual scandal, embezzlement of cash, and trafficking of hard drugs and you have the right to remain silent," The police said as he handcuffed Andrew into the van.

While all this was happening, Andrew was trying to comprehend what was going on and who must have tipped the police or sold him off to the police.

While he was being transported, he requested to make a call.

 "Please I just need to make one call". Andrew pleaded.

"You can't make any call!" The policeman yelled at Andrew.

Elena took her mum hoping to hear something from Andrew soon but the day went by without hearing any news and she decided to pay a visit to the shop only to find out that the store had been locked down and placed under investigation.

She knew at once that something was wrong it was either Andrew was arrested or he had gone into hiding at that moment she knew she had to go to the police on getting to the station she was told Andrew was not in their district she became more confused thinking of who could have arrested him.

 She later got a call, it was Andrew.

Elena, I have been arrested and I have been charged with cases which would lead me to life imprisonment. Please you need to do something you need to make as many contacts as you can and reach out to anybody that can help me please Elena" Andrew pleaded.

"Just hang in there Andrew, I will do all I can do, within and beyond my power to get you out of prison I promise". Elena responded.

"Elena, please you have to do something the only person that can help us right now is the legal holdings conglomerate and you have to make sure that the police do not find out about the non-governmental secret organisation we have been keeping for years".

"It could ruin all we have worked for Elena" 

"I promise I will keep this secret within my power by all means" Elena promised before ending the call.

She knew somebody was attacking them but she just could not think of who it could be at the moment she knew the only situation, the only solution was to reach out to the legal Holdings conglomerate to help them immediately.

She drove off to the company to see Alexander but just as she was about to enter the legal holdings building. she met countless reporters outside it's like they planned it all.

It's not like they knew she was coming, immediately she had to reverse she knew having Interviews with the reporters was not a good idea especially now with all that is going on.

She went back home and her dad was already talking. The dad already knew something was up when the mum was crying and he could not find Donald anywhere.

There was no way they could hide it from him they had to spill the truth. 

"Father, the nongovernmental secret organization is out," Elena told her father.

Mr Harrington could not believe his ears as he went into another shock.

"no… no… no, all my hard work will not go down the drain," he said as he went into a coma again.

Mrs Harrington could not control her tears. 

"Elena, you have to find out who is behind this. You have to go to the legal Holdings conglomerate and beg whomsoever is in charge. I heard Mr Sinclair is now the president. You have to reach out to him and talk to him and make sure you get him to help us before it is too late".

"We lost Donald already, we are losing the company already and now Andrew has been arrested. You have to do something Elena" Mrs Harrington said freightened.

"I will make sure to get us out of this mess as soon as I can Mom," Elena said giving her mom hope even though she was confused herself.

It was not up to forty-eight hours after Andrews's arrest, that he was released after his image and reputation as been ruined. The store has been taken over by the unknown police and his house has been confiscated by the government. He had nowhere else to go he had to go back to the Harrington mansion.

Elena's thought was interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Who is it?" she asked.

"It's me Elena, open the door"

Elena opened the door only for her to meet Andrew she was shocked and curious to know how he was released looking all tattered.

"How did you get here? who did this to you?" Elena asked as she ushered him in.

 "I don't know Elena. Everything I have has been taken away from me. I have nothing except the clothes I'm wearing. please we have to do something. Elena, you have to go to the conglomerate to beg that's our only option now" Andrew said looking weak and pale.

"I will go tomorrow and see what I can do," Elena said.

The next day, Elena got up early and got all dressed in disguise just to make sure people would not recognize her.

"Young master, Elena is here to see you," Alexander said.

"I have been patiently waiting for this day. Bring her in" Jared ordered.

"Mr. Sinclair will see you now," Alexander said ushering Elena to Jared's office.

Jared stood by the window backing Elena as she came in. As Elena entered Jared's office unknowingly to her. She went on her feet immediately without even seeing who she was talking to.

"Mr Sinclair, please I beg of you. Have mercy on my family. We are in desperate need of your help. We have almost lost everything. You are the only one that can help us now" Elena pleaded while still on her knees.

"And what makes you think I will help you and your wretched family?" Jared said as he turned to look at Elena.
