Chapter Hundred

“Leave me alone, I don't want to follow you “ Stella whispered her lips shaking but he ignored her

Amidst the neon-lit chaos of the pulsating nightclub, Henry's fingers clenched around Stella's wrist, his grip surprisingly firm for someone who had been dancing just moments before.

Her heart raced as he pulled her away from the thumping music and dazzling lights, his eyes locked onto hers with a fierce determination. The smell of alcohol and sweat mingled in the air, creating a heady atmosphere that seemed to thicken as they moved towards the exit.

Stella stumbled after him, her confusion and the stiletto-induced ache in her feet making her steps unsteady

"Henry, what's going on?" she shouted over the din, but he didn't answer. His jaw was set, his lips pressed into a determined line, and she could see a flicker of worry in his eyes that sent a shiver down her spine.
