Chapter hundred fifty six

"There's a ticking bomb," Ariel explained to Aaron, her voice trembling with fear. "We don't know how long we have before it goes off." The words hit Aaron like a punch to the gut. A bomb in his company? It was unthinkable. But as he took in the scene before him, he knew it was no joke. The workers were huddled together, their faces pale and drawn. He could see the terror in their eyes, and it struck him with a sudden sense of responsibility.

Shit! Aaron asked no further questions from Ariel, Aaron rushed towards the company but was stopped in his tracks by one of his security guards. "Sir, Aaron, please don't go in! It's not safe!" the man pleaded, his voice full of concern. Aaron seethed with anger, his frustration palpable as he glared at the assembled security guards.
