Chapter hundred forty four

The discreet discharge of Aaron from the hospital and Suarez's persistent questions and drillings caused a headache to build up for Aaron, who wanted to see his little man and cuddle with the love of his life. “Can you put a hold on the questions? I have already told you all that I know.” Aaron barked at Suarez in obvious irritation. “Do you prefer a different investigator, or are you just playing hard to get Mr. Churchill?” Suarez retorted.

“Do you need something? Maybe a cup of orange juice or a cup of decaf?” Helen offered to make him comfortable for the series of drills Suarez had prepared for him. The two seemed to have gained a ground of understanding, and Helen's quick compliance to Suarez's annoying tactics made him wonder to himself exactly what he missed over one week.

“Mr. Churchill, I know this isn't the easiest of topics, and the incident must have been traumatizing, but your testimony is very crucial to solving the cases that have built up in a month.” Suarez pressed on
